I don't generally believe in dieting because the minute I tell myself I am on a diet I am either starving or craving chocolate! Speaking of chocolate, that is it. Give me a Kit Kat and all thoughts and ideas about weight control go out of the window. Chocolate is the one food that will break all good intentions every time! What's yours?

Pasta! Pasta is my weakness. Not mac and cheese pasta, but pasta dishes that are worthy of a restaurant. Okay okay, I'd also break a diet for the pasta in a Suddenly Salad. I'm weak, okay?

OMG!I love pasta and that is the one thing that I will order in a restaurant every time. I'm Italian so I was brought up on the stuff, it would a very close second to chocolate! That is one thing we definitely have in common! Don't worry I'm weak too... Thanks Pam!

Paula that sounds like me also. Yesterday was my gd birthday party and so I ate ice cream cake. I told my husband today I was going back on my diet starting tomorrow.

Well, with being Diabetic there are things I should avoid, and really try, but then there are things I just can never avoid. One of the biggest ones for me is Chocolate. This is something that if a person was to tell me I could not have it, I would personally try but eventually break down to get it. I have even told most Doctors that chocolate will always be my downfall.

Chocolate is one of those foods that is almost impossible to say no to when the craving arises. I can avoid chocolate for ages and then one day I will crave a Kit Kat and that is the end of me, I have to give in! Thanks KrauseHome!

Did you ever fast for a day or two in your life?

Hmm, I think you are in a good shape and good shape people should not leave eating meals even for a day. If you miss, you will be weak, which I would not like at all!

Yep! I felt dizzy and nauseous. I have hyperglycaemia and when I miss meals I feel quite ill, honest! It's no excuse for chocolate though!

As for me, i think they are chocolate and ice-cream. I just like them a lot. I even had always keep stock of them at my home. Whenever i am bored, i will eat either one of them. They are just tastes too nice and delicious until i can't avoid any of them from my food list. But, i do eat a balanced meal, so i think i don't need to diet. Because i know, i am same like you, my diet plan won't be a success story due to my craving for chocolate and ice-cream.....

Yum! Dieting is depressing and you are better off with a good balanced diet with the occasional treat like chocolate, ice cream or both! They are both too delicious to refuse...Thanks for responding myfb2009!

You're welcome. Dieting is just a very boring and depressing job. I just can't accept it with success...

Mine would be a Quarter-Pounder from McDonald's, but I'd only eat it if it were in front of me and I am uber hungry. Lol.

Don't mind McDonald's but I prefer Hungry Jacks which I believe in the States and other places is called Burger King. I too have to be pretty hungry though! Thanks russso!

I totally forgot about Burger King. Changed my mind. It would not be McDonald's, but Burger King's Whopper Meal.

Same! Chocolate. The darker the better and find I can allow this even if I am on a diet. Just use it sparingly. It is hard though. Will Power comes into play, big time. I just love it and always have. I am a bonified chocoholic. Doesn't have to be a chocolate basr but anything chocolate. Must be of high quality though otherwise it doesn't cut it. I rather spare the calories if it is the type of chocolate that doesn't make you go Mmmm, with a sigh of relaxation as it melts so softly in your mouth.

Uhmmm...It is so hard to say no to chocolate. I still love my Giant Kit Kat Fingers, they are my favourite and I can't resist them! When I want chocolate nothing else will do! Thanks for responding EvrWonder!

Hi paula! i do not go on a diet normally except on some days of religious significance [that demands a bit of fasting or some restricted food intake--this is only on three to four days in a year ] and on those days I would not break my diet even if it is the best food or my worst weakness possible.

I never believe in dieting because I have tried it many times and never succeeded in reducing my weight rather when it bounce back I have more craving for sweet food to compensate for the time I deprived myself from food. But the food that makes me salivate and break my dieting is anything that is sweet like chocolate, creamy cakes which only makes dieting a total failure.

I don't diet either. Kit Kats are my worst weakness and I won't eliminate them from my diet completely because if I do I will want them even more! Everything in moderation still works I think! Thanks zandi, great to hear from you!

ANYTHING Mexican! lol Spicy foods are both of our favorites. Neither one of us are much into sweets but we do eat some but not much at all. That's why when someone brings something sweet over for desert, we tell them to take the rest home or it'll go to waste because it won't get eaten.

Oh gosh. My weaknesses are chocolate and ice cream. If someone brings choclate or ice cream in the house while I'm trying to control myself, I'll be on it like a lion on wildebeest.

Paula- I don't "diet" anymore, so I don't have to "break" anything! Thank the Goddess. Anyhow, I do enjoy a great many things in moderation. Just the other night we went out for dinner and had pie afterward. I enjoyed a heavenly piece of pie called Pecan Caramel Silk Pie. Ohh it was heavenly and rich. I do this every so often and never seem to be an over eater anymore of sweets. I do keep a chocolate drawer for that time of the month but I keep small pieces so that I can take care of my need with just a few quick pieces. It does me well. Namaste-Anora

That pie sounds divine! I don't do diets either and I am getting better at stopping just at one piece of chocolate lately, although I still have the occasional slip and eat the whole thing sometimes! That's ok, better than deprivation; that never works.

Coffee milkshakes! I'm such a sucker for them, especially now that it's sunny and warm out! I wish I had stronger resolve because I know they have a ton of sugar and fat and calories, but I just get cravings.

Anything Italian or Mexican I seem to have a BIG soft spot for it and it can turn my head easily.. I just can't help myself sometimes..it is just so good the pizzas,lasagnas,spaghetti,burritos,tacos,wraps..I think even if I had my mouth wired shut I would find a way to eat them..probably by blenderizing them..lol or trying to.

Oh, I wish! Yes. I wish there was only one, but unfortunately, I'm adicted to adictions, so let's start with chocolate, then there's pizza, donuts, cheese, chips, and more. Sorry but I can't name only one!

Not a bad idea just to have a bite here and there. I can do that sometimes although there are those periods when I just want the whole thing! I have a lot of sweets in the cupboard which belong to my daughter; I'm usually pretty good; if I know it belongs to her I don't eat it. Thanks for responding eshaan!

I've never been on a "diet" either and have pretty much eaten whatever I've wanted within reason---but I'm actually in the process of eliminating foods that may not be so healthy for me, like anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup which is one of the worse chemical concoctions going---but nuts..that means no more Twinkies, Ding Dongs...LOL. I'm also eliminating eating too much cheese since I read how too much dairy can actually trigger arthritic type conditions--NOW THAT is hard for me since I've been a cheese fanatic ever since I can remember. So my thing would be cheese. As far as chocolates--never really eat too much, but my one weakness would be Reese's Peanut Butter Cups--THEN I'm in trouble---LOL

I don't diet either, they don't work! I adore cheese too! Heck I love food! Fortunately I don't gain weight too easily but I still have to watch all the junk I would like to consume otherwise it will kill me! I don't do too bad if it wasn't for those darn Kit Kats! I went grocery shopping today and I haven't bought any...Yet!

I'm with you. Chocolate is my worst weakness. Usually some type of chocolate snack cake is what I'll eat whenever I fall off the wagon with my diet. Thankfully, they do make some lower carb/cal versions of snacks so I don't do as bad as I used to.

Once I've made up my mind to diet I stay on the straight and narrow. If I so much as take one bite of Chocolate I'm lost so I don't dare.
