I always envy those who can play guitar.
I would very much like to play guitar but I am not out for it.
I bought a guitar years back and had learnt the very basic of playing. But whenever I played, the guitar strings caused the pain on my fingers. Furthermore, I think I am not the music kind.

if you do it everyday for maybe a few minutes, like 5-10 minutes daily, for about 1 week, your fingers will no hurt anymore. thats why all the guitar players can stand the pain, because they aren't really withstanding anything, the fingers harden up, its like how your feet harden when you walk on the ground without shoes for a while.

I play some guitar, too many songs to list. I haven't played in a long time but I used to play daily. If you want the best tip, something I didn't have when I played, youtube. Go there and watch not only lessons but live performances. You can learn just by watching :)

Hey there mr.guitar man. Congratulations on your new instrument, may you have many happy days and maybe start writing your own songs. I will buy the cd, just let me know when it gets released...
I have a guitar but have not been able to learn how to play. I find it very hard. I have books that show how, but i just don't seem to gt the hang of it. One day when I am rich I will hire a trainer...
I would love to be able to play the guitar, so i will have to go for lessons.
Enjoy the music.
Blessings

thank you very much. once you are rich, that is a good idea. but if you learn yourself you can get rich with the guitar at no cost to you. if i were you, i would not use a book, i would use videos from youtube or something. i find visuals really help with this kind of stuff, like guitars, where you are using your hands or all sorts of things.

I'm not really a fan of guitars, but I know how to play it because my classmate taught me how. Besides my mom also knows how to play a guitar and I think knowing how to play one increases your charisma ;) I also wanted to buy one but I prefer acoustic guitars than the electric :)

yes that is just like me. i most definitely prefer acoustic over electric guitars. plus, electric guitars need an amp, and that is just something extra that you need to buy.

My mind and wants wish to do the playing of guitar
but the problem of my hands cant do it.
Many times I tried and tried but until now I dont
know how to play it . I think I dont have that skill

you should keep trying. like i said before, play for about a week and your fingers will harden a bit, and the stings wont hurt you, and they will stretch a bit. also try and grasp it better with your thumb completely on the back of the neck of the guitar.

Hello there. I am fond of guitars and we have one in our house. But sad to say, i don't know how to play it even though my friends tried to teach me. I always forgot how to put my fingers in the chord and how to play it continuously without stopping to see for the next chord. I think its not my destiny to play one. But given an option, i still want to play it but they don't want to teach me anymore. So i guess i have to wait for someone who can be there to patiently teach me or i have to wait for money to spend in the school of music. Its good for you because you know how to play it and as you say, you feel good. Hope i can feel good also someday. Happy mylotting. :-)

you should check out youtube if you would like to learn how to play, all you need to do is watch a few lessons on some different topics, like chords, stroking, and how to read the music. suprisingly, the way the music is written for a guitar is very easy to read, it is just a very simple chart. the person i recommend you watch is the one from expert village. take a look at that on youtube, just search expert village guitar.

Hi. Glad to join here. May i ask what guitar you have bought? Anyway, i like Nickelback. Before i played a lot. Daily from 9am til 6pm, then gig on 9pm til 12am.
We would play some Beatles and lots more.
