Never do it, please, for your sake. I was fishing with my uncle and cousin lots of years ago when we were little and stupid and we thought we should drink sea water just to see how it is, you know how little kids think like...Anyway it was YUCK! When I think about it now I realise how stupid a move that was, I mean people pee in the sea, everyone's toilets are connected to the sea and most importantly they are so polluted from the acts of factories and such that's its making you puke when you even THINK about swallowing something like that...just...don't try it.

drinking sea water will not rehydrate you, it will surely dehydrate you because of it's high sodium content. sodium absorbs water in our body that causes dehydration.

No sea water is not suitable for drinking due to its high salt content. They say if you are stranded in the middle of the ocean the fastest way to die is by drinking sea water.

oh my godness!!! how can you think that sea water could be drinkable?! there'is too much pollution in seas... there is pollution because of petrol, for example.. it can be very dangerous for health.. besides, we couldn't drink a so much salted water. in sea water, there is too sodium. the only advantage of sea water, is to inspire its smell of iodium. it's very healthier..

No sea water is not advisable to drink but if you remove the salt on it is suitable for drinking. In Middle East they use sea water and process it so that it is suitable for drinking because they don't have a choice if they don't use it. Some ships have an equipment to process sea water to remove the salt on it.
