Between Electricity, Water and Gas which one can you LIVE WITHOUT?

So today after another week with the water tank on the rental property we live in running dry, I had to stop and ask myself, out of the three utilities, Electricity Water and Gas, which one I can truly do without. My answer GAS! And electricity comes in second, I must absolutely have WATER at any cost. There is dishes to wash, clothes, toilet to flush, shower to take. I can always collect wood and cook without any gas and I cna use candles or lamp if I don't have electricity. What about you? What can you do without and what must you absolutely have?

We have oil heating so we dont actually use any gas, but it would be possible to have electric heating as well. If i was camping i could live without electricity and gas, as long as i could light a fire. In reality i'd find it hard to live without all 3, it would take a lot for me to part with heating for 5 months of the year, running water, lighting, cooking(microwave, oven and hob), the fridge, the freezer, hot showers, the internet, my laptop, the washing machine. Anything i could probably manage without, but i'd get bored.

I can live without gas. I need water to shower and electricity to cook, but I could substitute the gas heat for an electric space heater. Not that I like to take cold showers, but I could do it and eventually get an electric water heater too.

I won't die without gas or electricity (unless you included oxygen there), but without water, It'll be difficult to live...

Hey, Well I think that I couldn't live without electricity. This is because the Internet uses electricity and so does my computer, TV, and so many other things. Gas heats us up our water, but I think that I could live without hot water. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

between those three ,two are important i think. electriciy and water are important for me. without gas i can live. we can cook or heat water in direct electric stoves.electricity is important for us for more things for seeing tv and computer ,for running electric trains, for cooking, for industries and automobiles and many more uses with electricity. without water also we can;t live. daily we must drink water which is necessary for our lives.

Hello gtdonna. I can not live without water and electricity, but not gas, because I can use electricity to cook by buying a electric cooker, which is so convenient and easy. Like you said above, water is needed in many ways...

I guess if I have to choose, it's be gas. There's no gas in my house to begin with. lol However, I think my priorities would be just like yours. One can live without gas, just as long you have electricity. However, you just can't live without water. Not only is it for sanitary reasons, but it's also for health reasons.

I think that I could do without all three. Last year we had the power out in most of our country for over a week, and we survived. My FIL came home and told us of a woman who said she was buying water and using it to wash her hair with. As a community if we all stick together, we can get through tough times. Helping each other out when we need it the most. of course I mean like residence, but even on mylot it's the same. To explain and clarify more, Electricity? We can use candles and play a board game, card game, or just read a book, write stories, or tell stories. Water, we can always go to the store and get water, etc, or go bathe in the river. Gas? We can always start a fire and cook food that way. It's bound to be healthier that way anyway. You might call me a dreamer, but I'd do it if I had to. I'm all about the environment.

Truthfully I do not think in my house we could do without any of it ... Water - it is for driking, baths, cooking, and if you don't have it the city will condemn your property Electricity - everything we have runs off of it Gas - the weather maker in the house (heating/cooling) use it, as does the hot water heater ... We use each of these daily. So we need all of them.

Let me see, you need water to stay alive so that is out of the question. You need gas in order to cook and take hot showers unless you one of those rare ones that take cold showers. I would say we can live without electricity. That is the only one that human can live without. We just go back to the beginning of time where there is no light at night and no tech. equipments but we can actually live without it.

It is quite easy to live without gas. I currently don't use gas. When I use gas or visit a house that uses central heating my throat dries and I am constantly having to drink water. There is also a lot of risk from carbon monoxide poisoning if anything goes wrong with your boiler. Water is definately a must for cleaning and drinking so I would say that this is the most important. It is interesting to reflect on these things though, especially as there are many people in the world who don't get any of these services delivered directly to their homes.

that is a tricky question lol "which one can u live without ?".. my answer will be the same, water ! i can't live without it ! i can use candle when i have no electricity, or i can go to some cafe just to go online there with my laptop if it's necessary..i can also use an oil stove when i have no Gas, or a cord wood to cook lol. just whatever i can do to replace the electricity and the gas. butttt..water is irreplaceable !!! we really need it the most in our life ! we need water to drink, to go to the toilet, to take a bath, to wash our cloths and dishes, to cook, and many moreee..so it is really irreplaceable !

I can live without a gas. Water is the most important necessity, so that's the first thing I cannot live without.

We or everyone cannot live without those things but the most important stuff there is water. I can live without gas for weeks, without electricity for months, but I cannot live a day without drinking a glass of water.. We can live without eating for 2 days and make water as substitute. and electricity is only for pleasure compare to water..

Gas would be the one I could most do without. Water would be a necessity for obvious reasons. However, I would need electricity to keep my sanity. I'd go crazy if I couldn't connect to the internet!
