Pick up lines

I've heard my fair share of pick up lines over the years, none of which have ever worked on me. It leaves me to wonder if they ever work on anyone. I've always wondered that especially since they all seem incredibly lame to me. So I have a few questions for you all.
1.What is the worst or most entertaining pick up line you have heard, or used?
2.If you have ever used a pick up line, did it actually work? (if it did, feel free to share your line.)
3.Has a pick up line ever worked on you?
I'm up to hearing any other thoughts you may have on the subject too.

I think one of the worst pick up lines has to be one my friend used and it was(nice legs what time they open?) quite obviously he got a slap lol
I myself haven't used a chat up line before because there too common and I'm quite shy which annoys me cause Ive missed out on relationships because i go all shy.
lol ah well.

I never understood the pick up lines. I think that maybe it is just a way to break the ice and be funny! Otherwise there are some seriously lame people out there!
I am interested in the rest of these responses to see if anyone has ever actually used a pick up line successfully!
I think the closet thing I have ever heard to a pick up line that someone said to me was 'You are the kind of girl I could fall in love with'. My husband said that to me not long after we had already started dating. It was only a bit of a lie - he had already fallen in love with me!
