I know of someone who used scissors in cutting his finger nails and even toe nails. Of course he can have clippers which is easy to use than scissors but I am just wondering why he is doing that? I tried that once just for curiosity but it is harder than clippers do.. but I think that would be better than biting your nails to cut it when clippers are not available. Did you experience doing that too? just curious to know.

Scissors? Well, I wouldn't be able to do that. It would drive me nuts. :) LOL! I use the nail cutter. BTW, how come so many nail discussions today?
Cheers and happy Mylotting

One of the best all-round exercises for older people is biting their toe-nails off. My toenails are always neat and tidy. Sometimes I even wash my feet first, but if you change your socks several times a week this is not always necessary. If you look at my avatar (which is me) you can see that I'm just getting ready to do my weekly pedicure.

I've tried using scissors one time to cut my fingernails and it doesn't work very good, let alone your toenails, I think it would be harder to do because generally your toenails are harder than your fingernails. I guess it would be better than biting them, but I think I would try to find some clippers somewhere, they aren't that expensive..ha.

Yes I did; experienced cutting my nails w/ scissors. My mother did it when we were kids as nail cutters were not common that time hence doing it w/ the scissors but am doing it w/ clippers now, it's more easy and convenient of course.

hahaha.. so, you were able to experience using scissors to cut your nails? that was used by the older generation.Yup my mother was using that before too.
Does this goes to show that we belong to the oldies where nail cutter is not yet manufactured? hahahaha

Hello Bebs. I use clippers to cut my nails instead of using scissors. I feel more comfortable using clippers and I think that it is safer. But of course, if I have to use scissors, I can also handle it.

I guess they want jagged nails. Scissors are not made for trimming your nails, they are not rounded so if somebody wants to trim their nails that way then stay out of the way.

Yes, I do see some people using scissors too and they are mostly oldies. And I am amazed they could do it. I can't even do that myself. I always use nail cutter or course.

Hey Bebs! I would never use scissors to cut my nails! It isn't
even a good idea to do that! I always use nail clippers! You
get a better cut with them! It is safer and healthier to use
nail clippers! That's what they are made for! I don't know
why anyone would use scissors! They are dangerous and don't
cut the nails correctly! You have to be very careful when you
are cutting your fingernails and toenails or you could get a
bad infection!
