hi all! my baby is almost 3 months now and it seems my breastmilk has not increased yet. i mean it is still not enough for my baby's growing needs. my baby seems to prefer my milk, but i can't help it because i don;t have much milk. it seems i have done everything to increase milk production--everything that people tell me, including those that i have read on the internet, but to no avail. but i don't give up hope. i stay at home most of the time and i can feed her anytime so i just continue to do so. but i still hope and pray that anytime these days my milk will be overflowing for my baby, just as God has touched the rock in the middle of the dessert to bring forth water. i trust the Lord! just giving you an update. take care all and God bless you! happy mylotting! :D

I'm sure you are feeding her more often to work on increasing your milk production? Maybe she is hitting a growth spurt. I bfed 2 of my 3 kids and wish I would have just kept feeding on demand or every 2-3 hours instead of feeling like my body just wouldn't make enough. For the most part I did pretty good. Have you tried Fenugreek? It can help to increase your supply. And if you have a bpump you could try pumping milk when your daughter is finished and just pump for about 10-15 minutes. I did that with my 2nd son and increased my supply. It is awesome to see that! I just looked at your post more closely, and this was 4 months ago. So you have done what ever you did to handle your baby's hunger. Hope you're still b'feeding!

It is nice to hear that you fed the baby for 3 months and you want to feed more. There are lots of mothers they can't even feed the baby for one month. There are also some mothers they stop feeding in one or two months because they think that it will loose their beauty. I appreciate your care for the baby! Take care.

Well I think sometime it is your mental state that is stopping yourself having more milk, try to relax a little. From what I understand the more often you express the more you would have. The more the little one drinks the more you come. Do not have to worry so much, nature have it that you would have enough for the kid. that is how we are build.

That's a very nice thought about the things that one needs to do in life. It may be a situation where you give it your best but don't know if if will works. Hope god is with you on this one. Don't give up hope. The baby will get it one day.

Its natural for a mother to hope that, I also hoped for it, infact I had a good supply till my kid for 4 months old, but then I had to take out my tooth as it was paining as hell, and that did it... my supply decreased tremendously... i couldnt increase it after a while... but may your wish come true i will pray for you... good luck

For the most part your body should be producing enough for your baby, why do you think that it is not, are you having to supplement your baby with formula. If you really want to increase your supply you can start pumping and pump every day four times a day for 20 minutes at a time. The key to getting your milk to come in is to bf your child at the same time every day, get your baby on a schedule and try to stick to it, at three months old it will benefit both of you to be on a schedule. Most three month olds will eat on a three to four hour schedule, ideally you would feed them when they wake up from their naps, if you feel they must have something prior make it light, (not a full feeding)

Thats a natural feeding and nurturing of baby's. You given the vitamin its called colustrum from your milk to your baby. Eat more vegetables and fruits so that milk will also flowing. You cook foods having more soup in order for you to drink more so that your milk will be increased. Try to cook also pure papaya green vegetable , add it with coconut milk and eat , drink more from it afterwards it can help you out of your problem now.

I had the same problem with my daughter. I went against doctors orders and started her on food. This seemed to help keep her full. She seemed to sleep better too. Maybe you could try this and it could help with the time break so that the milk can build. Have a great night. Good Luck!!
