Paid referrals.

I have been paying people to signup under me on a few forums but I'm looking to increase my referrals even more. Has anyone ever used some of the PTC guaranteed sign up services? I have been looking into these most of them cost .50 per ref and only pay their members .10. I would like to just give the ref .50 but I can't seem to get enough people interested. Anyone have any suggestions?

I never have used these types of sites to gain referrals. I've heard from friends that tried them that claimed the referrals were active for a short period of time, helped make them some money, only to disappear and never return.
Others claimed that their referrals signed up and never did anything. All in all, worst case, is it's a waste of time and money, and from what I've heard, you would be lucky to just make enough from these referrals to get your money back.
