I was wondering if people still found value in marriage? I mean any kind of marriage gay or straight...my parents are divorced and that can kind of cause a child to think of marriage as a bad thing that only hurts people in the end. More and more I see people getting divorced and regretting that they ever got married. what do you mylotters think? is marriage still valued? help me!

My parents are divorced as well. I still think that marriage is a good thing. I think that marriage is a vital part of the concept of family. I don't think that all marriages end up hurting people. People need to get married for the right reasons and take time to get to know one and other before rushing into the committment.
I definitely find value in marriage. I just think it is a decision that needs to based on more than just finances and attraction. Relationships can last if both parties want the same things and are on the same page in life.
