Trouble with screen resolution

When I try to play video my screen resolution changes automatically to 4 bit and smaller screen size. Restarting the computer is the only solution to revert it back. I haven't had this problem earlier. And i did not change graphics card or driver. Do you know the cause for this and solution?

Do you change any setting in your games option? Or you change display properties? Before I solve this problem you can check your setting in video graphic. If it's no change then try to check VGA fan, because overheat will cause resolution change to be more smaller. For On board VGA, you can add the fan in inside CPU. Please keep the temperature between 40 degree to 60 degree.

if you have an onboard graphics card, it may be an issue with that. I always strongly recommend getting a separate graphics card to put into a computer, because on most motherboards, when the onboard graphics go out, your whole motherboard will need replaced. Most onboard graphics card use what they call a northbridge chip. This chip is responsible for a lot more than just the video that displays on your screen. You may be experiencing overheating issues too, if this is the case. Again, I recommend getting a graphics card separate from your onboard one, if it's onboard. If it's not onboard, it may be experiencing overheating issues as well, and that may be indication of the hardware going out as well.
