I have a laptop, but it doesn't work properly.it is very slow, it has problems with internet and does not support more than 1 application at the same time. so i decided to change it. i saw Mac computer at shop and i found it fantastic. wonderful screen, lots of programs, memory and so on. the price is a bit higher than normal pc, but this is not a problem! the problem is that i never used Marc and i'm trying to understand if it could be useful for me to buy it or not. is it easy to use it? i like very much all graphics programs, but i work also with office applications. comments and suggestions are welcome! thanks

I have worked on both a Mac and a PC and by far (and I can not stress this enough) THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A MAC!. The intial expense may be just a little higher but in the long run you will actually save money on just the anti virus programs that are needed for a PC, let alone the confusion and problems all those programs generate. From the minute you start up your pretty little apple you will be amazed at the ease and flow of things. At first the hardestpart will be that when you close a window you close it from the left. A mac also likes a clean desktop unlike a PC where you can have a million items on your desktop (which you need to do on PC cause lord knows where the file ends up. So all I do on my Mac is save the file to my desktop and I keep ion folder on the desktop and I call it "InBox" Then every other day or so I file the items in that folder to the place where I WANT IT! Seriously I can not stress enough how much I love my Mac.

I am confident that you will onehappy new MAC user when you do. And I am here if you everhave any questions or need some help in customizing and getting to know it!!! Personally I have the MacBook Pro and I take it everywhere and it is amazing how it connests itself where ever I go! Oh and one last thing for now . .when you call Apple support they are the most helpful wonderful support people you will ever come across and they never put you on hold or loop you around to different departments . they truly are there to help you and dont stop till you are satisfied!

I went from a PC to mac...and the change isn't as big as you think it is. It was really easy to do. My old PC kept crashing I had to have my laptop replaced by Dell 3 times before I had it for 6 months. Since switching to a mac, I will not go back to a pc. I absolutely love it and the computer lasts. I didn't even have an antivirus on my old mac (I just got a new one)...and that computer lasted me almost 4 years without a problem. Yes they are little more expensive but I still wouldn't go back to a PC.

So you're going with a Mac, right? Mac's are very powerful and user-friendly, but compatibility with more programs is the PC's advantage! So if you want to, you can buy a Mac and have Windows installed at the same time(inquire about it in the shop). That way, you can have the best of both worlds.

janiceines I am not sure why your friends are telling you that a Mac is more difficult to use . . have these friends actually ever used a Mac? Because Macs are so much more user friendly than any PC out there. The operating system does what it is supposed to do and does not let you near any files that you can potentially get into and mess up like a PC does. Not only are they easier to use but there are less problems and issues then you will find with a PC. And if you should ever run into a problem the Apple support people are incredible. And when you call you can actually get a person on the phone within a minute. And G-d forbid they have to put you on hold they actually come back within a reasonable amount of time. I can not stress it enough BUT MACS are the only way to go !!!!

If you never used a Mac, maybe you will have a compatibility trouble first times that you will use it. It's a personal decision, I like PC, try the laptop with linux, maybe your laptop runs more fast, it depends, of course, if you have an old laptop...

In my country mac based computer or laptop doesn't really popular. I'm using a windows based laptop right now. You said that your laptop going slow or even very slow, I guess your laptop spec is not very high. Nowadays laptop spec average is processor intel core two 2GB, RAM 1 GB, Harddisk 160 GB or 250 GB, support wi-fi, blue tooth, integrated video cam & DVD multi drive. Don't be fooled by the brand, laptop with the same spec could cost more money if you choose high prestige brand. Average brand with good spec as I described above have a price range between $ 550 to $ 750. I prefer ordinary windows based laptop than a mac based.

If you are very keen to know all the features then I would suggest that you buy one, I have a laptop too well I just bought it after the last one which was more than 10 years with me, I find my laptop very fast compared to the last one and Now I can hear of the Mac too, I think its too late for me to buy something again expensive but I can suggest you buy it as you can enjoy new features too.
