Do you respond to posted discussions that were 6 months to 1 year ago?

Lately, I had responsed to some discussions that were way back couple months ago. The longest were 1 year ago posted discussions. Was I too late to make response to them? I just wonder how late does Mylot keep those discussions on the forum? I had over a couple hundred of discussions on mylot. I can track it way back to last year.

I don't think it matters when you answer a discussion you will get paid no matter how old it is. SO it isn't to late. I have answered some over 3 years old before. it doesn't hurt to bring a few of the old ones up front to start being answered again.

Yes, it's not too late, as long as the discussion exists, we can participate into it...

I do reply to old discussions, some 5 years old and as I was digging through the archive I saw some with no responses and are more happy to respond to them as long as their topic interest me.
At first I was hesitant because answering to old discussions seems to be walking to an empty room. Everyone had participated and there is no one there anymore. But based on feedback by the veterans here about responding to old discussions, I learned that no discussion would be too old to participate. And so I started participating to old discussions. What is nice is some of the discussion starters still comment back to their responses. To me that is so cool!

Yes, i don't see any reason why not. There could be some old discussions out there that are as interesting as new discussions. It really doesn't matter to me as long as it's something i can relate to and something i can respond well. I don't there you're too late to respond. Some people would respond after you then maybe the owner of that discussion will be interested in making the discussion alive again.

I just did that yesterday. I visited a place in sussex and searched the discussions, and found a 2 year old post that I just HAD to reopen. The person who posted is one of my regular MyLot friends anyway, but even so - I don't think she was expecting her old post reopened after all that time!
Normally, though, if I want to post on a topic that's been covered more than a year ago, I restart a new one but tag it differently - especially if the person who posted hasn't been active in a while.

i think so, i may have responded to some discussions that are that old, i never really looked at the date on how old the discussion was already posted, but last night i have made a response about re-using giftbags and giftwrappers, well of course that would be talking about Christmas wrappers...lol
as long as i have something to say in the discussion and it interests me, i will respond to it even if it is already old.

I think I may have responded to a few older discussions. Oh well. I probably was just searching on a topic that interested me and responded without even looking at the date it was posted.
I don't think it matters. If it's interesting, I'll respond regardless of the date it was posted.

I think no one is really looking at posts older than 6 months.Even the the one who posted may not think about it.So i do not respond to such older posts

That's right, there is no time limit to respond. If a topic is interesting then it doesn't matter at all how old it is.

I love to post to old discussions, and it is even better when the original poster is still active ....its fun to bring back up the old posts and see what people think of them now.
Actually I have spent days where I personally look up old ones to revive... since it is a topic that I am researching to start a new discussion and if there is one...then I am curious to what people think of it now as to when they originally posted it....LOL
happy mylotting!!

No I haven't responded to an old discussion. I heard that you lose your rating and earnings if you respond to discussions posted a month or more ago.. I usually respond to daily topics..

That is not the case at all. All your activity earns for you regardless of how old the dicussion or response is where you are responding.

Good day! Well, I dig up topics when new discussions are not around. I post on discussions even after the 100th page or the discussion was posted a year ago. In that way, I recognize the topics which already exist so I will not post the same topic again. Some old topics are interesting so I respond on them. But now, I rarely do it because there are lot of new discussions under my interests. Happy mylotting!

Yes I can respond on old discussions may be 1 year old or 6 years old no matter how many years old but if the discussion is interested then replied on it. My lot stored all discussion which is in good quality. Even the account is deleted but no discussion is deleted.

I do respond to anything as long as it interested into me. It is good to keep everything on here cuz it is very helpful for others to check back later. Information is never over

Yes I do respond to discussions which are older then 6 months or 1 year as long as the topic is of my interest. I just look for topics that interest me and the I can go on and on writing about it but the discussions that are older may not get replies if you expect that to but its ok as long as you want to express yourself.

Hello clorissa, Well I do it sometimes but on a condition. I remember posting response to the discussions that are six months old. But before I respond to that thread I check the status of the user, is the user still active on mylot. Else there is no point in responding to that discussion. So whenever I get some old discussions that interest me, I check out the users activeness, then respond it if the discussion creator is still active. Isn't this a better idea?
Happy mylotting...

Hi Clorissa, I don't mind responding to discussions that are way back. Since the discussion thread surfaces and the topic is interesting, I do not mind adding a few words to it.
If the discussion threads were older than 3 years, I might start a new discussion instead of surfacing the older ones. The originator of the discussion might not be active anymore.

I respond to any discussion in myLot no matter how long it has been posted as long as I feel that I can contribute something to that discussion. Anyway, I don't usually look at how old the posts are. I just respond to whatever discussion I feel like responding to.
