Participate in World Envioronment Day 5th June

On 5th June its World Envioronment Day . I am going to switch my lights off (Fridge Excluded) . CO2 Levels have increased way more than envioronment can handle . Due to pollution one of every 10 children have lung diseases and disorders . Plant some trees . Calculate your carbon footprints .

I have never heard of World Environment Day. But I will have to look into it more!
I wont be doing anything different from usual. My husband and I make an effort everyday to keep our carbon footprint low. We only turn on lights when needed. We reuse anything possible. We try to avoid unnecessary packaging. We use recycled products. It saves us a lot of money is definitely helping the environment as well!
I hope a lot of people make an effort, even if for only 1 day, to help reduce their impact on the earth!

I try not to use paper bags at all. I use my cloth bags instead. They last so much longer!! 
But yes, recycled paper bags is a good way to get started!

Cloth pags are a better option if made by old clothes . Many people buy designer cloth bags . Recycled paper bags are better . But don't last long .

Hello,Shounak! I have decided not to use my bike on the Environment Day and plant two mango trees in my garden.And from that day onwards I will not use my bike for two days in a week.Thus I can contribute something to save the world and can save some money for better use.thanx.

Even i have a mango tree . Its taller than 6 feets . Bury Some of your garbage in your garden (Biodegradable) . In return you'll get a great compost . Use a cycle on those two days . And use electric bikes , Reduces Pollution and saves money .[/i][/b]
