I saw a significant decrease in my electric bills when i replaced all my light bulbs with condensed florescent bulbs. also, purchase blackout blinds for all windows facing east or west - this can actually have a noticeable effect on your cooling costs. between the two my apartment electic bill went from 80-90 during the summer to 60.

I am sure there are many ways to conserve energy but I would not be the one to say something that could be construed as expert opinion because I keep my computer going all the time which is the same as wasting energy. Cheers!!!

The morning, dressed with a good wash supplies,to the nearest hotel of restaurant, luxury public toilet, wash finished fallow.Three meals a day out to solve.Shower at night to find a public toilet a shower red,and then go home to sleep.Home, only to go to bed rest, the best do not have any electrical appliances. However, who would be willing to have such a life?Technology and energy are improving the quality of life,to reduce energy consumption,it is necessary to reduce the use of electrical appliances, reduce the quality of life.Of cause, the usual energy as possible is our planet of everyone's responsibility.

One of the best things we did was change the lighting! You can do this without spending anything! Our bathroom light fixture has spots for 3 lightbulbs. We only have 2 lightbulbs in it. It is more than enough to light the whole bathroom. No need to have 3! In the living room, we often have only 1 light bulb on. We sit on the couch together. We have the light aimed into the corner of the room. The light then reflects along the back of the couch. It gives us plenty of light for most things! If we need more light, we can always turn on another. But for watching tv or playing video games or spending time on the computer it isnt necessary! When we arent home, we never have more than 1 light on. It is just enough for us to get in the door. Then we can turn on more lights if necessary. Another easy thing to do is plug your tv and associated electronics into a power strip. Turn off the power strip each night. Anything that has a remote is always using electricity! Good luck!

hi there it is good that such discussions are around well. its good to consider the cuttin downof electricit bills. fistly because of saving money and secondly we are doing our part to not conribute to global warming. well some of the things i do at home is to cut dow the usage air conditioning. well if only it is really hot then i would turn on the air conditioner. This has really helped me cut down quite abit on my bills actually. Even if i do turn on the air conditioner i just leave it on for awhile and once the room gets preety cold i will actally turn it off. apart from that i actually use low energy consumption bulbs at home. this has also significantly reduce my bill. have a nice day and happy saving the bills and the enviroment. best regards, alvingb

I think the most important one is ventilation. Making sure your room is not hotter than outside during summer nor colder than outside during winter can conserve you lots of cash. So, temperature control would be the top priority. To do that, during winter, make sure the sunshines into your house and not blocked by curtains. During summer, however, make sure curtains are on to block out the sun. Fans are better much more electricity bill friendly. So use them if possible. If air conditioner is not avoidable, consider tunning the temperature to higher and accompany it with a fan. Just using the air conditioner to lower temperature is very costly. Next would be to turn off anything that uses electricity when they are simply not in-use. This includes killing the power supply to your TV. Switch off the lights during the day. Our computer also eats lots of juice so make sure you switch it off if you are not using it.

The best way is to get an electrician and ask him to tap the electricity of your neighbor to your line that way you get free electricity. LOL. Just kidding. Just turn off unnecessary electrical appliances when you don't use them. Cheers! Sleep naked and don't use your airconditioning unit.
