Wolfarm Alpha (the computational knowledge engine) is one the expected next big thing to hit the Internet.
As is claimed by the creators of the search tool, this will calculate each and every search term very precisely and then will give us more accurate results ever before, I checked it for a few things and though it was a bit hard to interpret, mainly because we are not accustomed to that kind of search results, the results were quite accurate and different.
Do you really think that it will be able to make it really big?

It's good for things like stock prices or scientific information, but pretty bad on some other things, like looking up people's names. I entered my own name, and it gave the the percentages of people in the world who have my first name and last name (but using it as a first name). Not exactly what I was looking for!
It needs a lot of work if they want to make it more than just a "computational engine."

Hi.
I don't think they will make a kind of improvement the way you are saying.
It is meant to be a computational engine and we have to accept it that way only. Also the thing that you fond wasn't of any use but it was interesting...don't you think so?

I couldn't get any search result. I gave the search term and pressed search. But I didn't get any result. Hope you'll give me some solution!

I have no idea if it will be big or not. I have never even heard of it. I will go give it a try though. It does sound interesting though.

I think it will do pretty well. Although half the fun of doing a serch is seeing what other stuff comes up when you do one. But it will be nice when someone is in a hurry to just get the accurate information right off the bat with out having to go through several different items.

Indeed, at times it is really frustrating that even after giving a great detail of what you want, you have to go to 3rd or 4th page of the search result to get to it, checking all the links in between.
