Recycling one/ink cartridges tfor money

I was wondering what everyone's take is on paid tone/ink recycling programs ... I was thinking about starting a program in my home town, but want to make sure that it is worth my time. I was wonder if it would be easier to collect them and just take them to a Staples for the $3.00 in rewards. If you know of any programs that work good and pay, please let me know.

I don't know about your country but here in ours, we can bring the toner/ cartridge to a refill shop and have it refilled with ink for less. There are also those who buy empty cartridges but I don't know how much they pay for it since we always try to reuse all our cartriges.
