I think they are going to call it NCIS: LA or something and it will star the people that were in the episode when Gibbs and McGee went to LA. The episode where they encountered the Mossad assasin. I have trouble thinking that they can come up with a better or anywhere near equal mix of characters than the original has.

I actually hadn't heard about a spinoff, I'm glad I logged in here and found out about it, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'll probably watch it, or at least give it a chance. I wonder if it will star the same people that were in the episode when Gibbs and McGee went to L.A., i.e. Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. Either way, it will at least be worth a look.

I'll be watching the new series for sure. It's going to come on right after the original for those that didn't know. I hope that they have a lot of cool toys like that big touch screen they had in the two parter on N.C.I.S.
Just from watching that two parter, I think that the cast will mix well but nothing will top the cast on the original. Even with the changes that they've made going from Kate to Ziva and the original director, to Jenny and now Vance, and even Ducky's original assistant Gerald to now Palmer, the chemistry on that show has always been great. I don't think that the spinoff will be able to match the chemistry that the original has but I do think that their characters will mix well.

I am going to watch it, but I really do not expect it to be as good as the original NCIS. The characters just do not seem as interesting, but I will give it a chance.

I agree -- it's seems like it'll be much more CSI/action than the original NCIS. However, I am excited. Hopefully there are a lot of crossover episodes.

I kind of doubt there will be more crossover, as there was only one somewhat of a crossover with JAG and NCIS with the one lawyer appearing in an episode. However, I would love to see more crossover, as I just really love the characters from the original. I do not see myself really loving any of the characters on the spin off, but I think it will still be more enjoyable than a lot of the other shows on television.

This is a really good discussion and I have seen previews for the new NCIS show and I am not sure what they are going to call it because it has been a while since I heard about it but I also think it is going to be NCIS: LA,I am sure there are a lot of people who really love the original NCIS and watch it whenever it comes on especially when it has a new season on ,and I know that me,my fiance and my mother have been watching it every Tuesday when a new episode came on,and we all thought the season finale was a good one,and I remember the episode where Gibbs and McGee went to LA and that was a good episode too,I am sure that it will be an interesting show and I am sure me and my fiance and my mom will watch it,even though it will not be as good as the original NCIS because it will not have Gibbs or any of the other characters, even though the characters did seem pretty interesting, have a great day, good luck with your life, and Happy Posting.

I watched it and I didn't suit my tastes. I liked NCIS the old-fashioned way - a good mixture of technology and investigative work. I am distracted by the gadgets they use rather than the plot and characters don't really appeal to me as much as the old gang of NCIS Navy Yard did. I think this series needed much help from the original NCIS.
