My first response would be certainly not. But at the same time when I think seriously about the same, I think yes as there are so many students with different religions and a prayer of a particular religion might offend them, THus to maintain equality...I suggest prayer should be stopped. What do you have to say?

I believe religion is a personal thing and should not be part of the school system as I believe politics, children should not be influenced in these areas by teachers or schools, school should be for learning the things that will get them through life in other areas and they should be left to make up their own minds about religion and politics outside of school.

As long as teachers are not actively promoting one religion or another. I see nothing wrong with an empty classroom for those who want to pray during or right after lunch with each student praying in their own way according to the tenets of their faith. It may put a stop to some of more antisocial behavior of some teens out of frustration with life issues.

I found a sticker that says: as long as there are tests there will be prayer in schools. Where I am it is illegal for a distric employee to lead anything more than a moment of silence. Every morning during anouncements there is a short moment of silence. For me When I pray I do not have to say it out loud God will hear me no matter what. If I honestly feel the need to pray out loud while at school then there is a reason and I do not particulary care who I offend. I was in highschool when Columbine happened, not only did we pray on the way to school but we prayed at school and no one complained. I was even in another state. As far as maintaining equality: If your god cannot hear silent prayers then perhaps you are not praying to a real god.
