The pain As the song says. I would have missed the pain, but I would have missed the dance Holding you I held everything, for a moment I was the king If I had only known how the king would fall Who is to say that I might have changed it all Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain, but I would have had to miss the dance the pain was so worth the dance. I would not have missed it for the world. It is the dance that has taught me so much and with the pain I grew.. I have gone through so much in my life, loss of my father at an early age, my best friend passed away when I was in high school, gave a child up for adoption, divorce, remarriage, infertility, loss of grandparents. So much pain in my life, but to give up that pain I would also have to give up so many good things in my life. A step father that I adore, the special times with my best friend and his family, the nine years I was married, the good times we had, the places we went and things we did. And my triplets.. The pain was worth the reward I received in the end.
