Have you ever painted your house yourself?

Hi, we painted the interior of the house ourselves - the hall, rooms and so on. It was tough and tiring work though; it took us 2 weekends. The cleaning up, as usual was left to me; and you can imagine how I complained!. But now looking at our work - beautifully painted walls - it is worth the effort. However, I hope not to do any more painting for the next year or two!

I have painted before. Lots! Inside, outside, individual rooms. My oldest daughter's nursery was the biggest oopsie, though. We'd picked out a light yellow, somehow got home with a flourescent yellow, and didn't realize it till part way through. Poor kid slept in a room practically the color of the sun for two years! Once we tried to paint ourselves with the walls.We don't try it on the ceilings.Just on the walls to the height we can reach easily.Me and my wife painted a little,but id doesn't had the finish like a professional painter would do.So,we had to repaint it later again.But it was a wonderful experience,I bet.Cheers!

Yes, I have done it once. My sister and I painted the house along with my father, but it is sad that we sold that house later when we were in need of some money. I was fun and an interesting experience.

You are right. Even though I haven't done it before but I am planning to design my own house and be part of its building process. I don't mind if takes a long time to complete as long as I am satisfied with the results. I want to build a house that is unique, like no house is similar to mine. It would be very wonderful.
