When I met my second husband, he'd been married for 34 years and I'd been married for 20. Neither of us were happy, and we became friends. After our marriages broke up - which wasn't because of our friendship - we got together. That was 18 years ago, and we are still very happy. Sometimes I wish I hadn't stayed so long in my marriage, but if I hadn't, I wouldn't have met my husband.
Quality of life is definitely what matters, but I'd also like to live long enough to enjoy it! Good topic, as usual!

I will choose 10 years of happiness with my beloved instead of the 30 years of sadness with someone. If ever i will have to choose the 30 unhappy years then i think it will be one of my misfortune because I cannot find myself with someone who makes me sad every day.

I will choose quality over quantity. Why should someone stay married for 30 miserable years, when one can be with someone they love for 10 years, or even less? Why only prolong misery while missing love? I never understood people who married the wrong person, just out of fear of dying alone/

I think that I would prefer to have the 10 years of happiness with someone that I loved and that love was returned. Life is too short to not be happy and I believe that quality is more important than quantity.
I have already shared more than 10 years with a man that I love and that loves me so I guess that I am a very lucky person. I will celebrate my 15th anniversary next year.

This would be the simplest choice in the world, actually. Of course I would rather be happy, even if it for a short time. To choose a long, unhappy situation would just be silly. I would really hope that it wouldn't take me thirty years to realize how unhappy I was, and get out of that situation to find one that will make me happy. Like I said, that's an esy choice.
