a trip that didnt go as planned

I will share an experience of mine when traveling in Paris some years ago. I remembered that I was just out of the subway and was about to go to a museum. I reached out for my wallet just to find out that it was gone already... I had placed it inside a bag and the bag was opened. Not only my wallet but also my passport was gone. Originally, I planned to travel to multiple countries near Paris but without the passport, I thought it would be a very bad idea to leave the country. Thus, I changed my plan. Instead of going to other countries, I just stay in France for the rest of the trip and still it was a quite enjoyable one (except the loss of money and passport.)
