I want to be rich. Imagine, living in a comfortable house with your side door facing the beach. I want to be happy too! Everyone does. Being happy makes you rich because you enjoy life and there is a tendency that you earn well because you have positive attitudes. Being rich makes you happy too! Because you can have what you need in life and plenty left over to share to others. But what really makes a person happy is...knowing Jesus.

In a way,i think you are right. We can get many things that we like if we have a lot of money, and then we can say the money made us happy. If we want to buy some thing, but we have not enough money,so we are unhappy.Money of course is very important in our lives. But,actually what i really mean is,if i have some money, but not much, like a millionaire does, i prefer the happiness to a million dallors. Have a nice day, rich friend. lol.

What good is having a bunch of money if you aren't enjoying it. I think happiness comes first, then the world is at your command. A lot of people say they will be happy if they have money, but I think that happiness is short lived. You go on the vacations and throw the parties, but then what? You have people that are your friends only because of your money and if you weren't happy in your relationships before, you aren't going to be happy just because you have a big spending limit.

Well,i think that depends what kind of attitude of life people have. I know some people they don't have a lot of money ,but they really can be very happy. If they can afford some stuff, but thet don't care. If you are the person who cares the material goods a lot, then i think money indeed can help you to be happier. lol Thanks for sharing ,my friend, wish you a happy life and lots of money.

Yes,i think most of people would choose the happy life, why not?If you have a lot of money ,but you are unhappy everyday, then what do you have the money for? Of course ,we must admit that sometimes money can buy stuff that make us happy, but i think this type of hapiness can be very short-lived,do you think so ,friend?

Of course the logical answer would be a happy life.. but still, it's really hard to be happy if you don't have money. SO I think first I want a happy life, but I think a little money would help increase my happiness. =))

Couldn't agree more, friend. But you know, not everyone has the same opinion. Everyone is in a different situation, and money play a different role in their lives,so i don't think there is a logical answer. lol But i think you are right saying that money would help people to be happier. Thanks for sharing, have a nice time here.

I have to agree on that. Some rich people got to be rich because they keep on making themselves busy at work but, leaving family behind. Children or even the spouse that gets left behind would try to understand that its because of business that their father/mother is busy, out there on a business trip or so on. However, without having that parent and child interaction surely affects the growth of the child as well as the relationship that they have. If I can very well go on with what I earn and we are healthy, I too would consider it to be something to be happy about. Being able to eat three meals a day with my family and having quality time together. I wouldn't exchange it for any amount either. (^_^ )

If I was rich, I would find someone trustworthy to handle some of the work and advisers which would make decision making really good. That way , I could still find quality time with my family and if not, I guess I'd take along my family to every business trip that I go to.. though, its not something that would happen anytime soon for me (^_^") Your welcome and have a nice day (^_^ )

Thanks for you . :). I couldn't agree with you more. Some rich people are too busy making money to enjoy the life, but in a way ,we can say that's why they are rich, lol. To be honest,i don't really like to be rich like a billionaire.Of course,i need money, who don't?What i mean is as long as i have adequate money to support my family and we are all happy, then i would be contented. Have a nice day.

for me it's definitely got to be happiness. why would i want to be rich other than to be happy? the only reason why i can think of that people want to be rich is because they want to be happy. i believe that everything we do, the motivation is happiness. even revenge, people take it because it makes them happy. at least less unhappy, which is part of being happy. so it's definitely happy and i'd like to think i'm a happy person. cheers

Haha, you said a great word, even revenge make some people happy. lol. I think it is indeed the truth.Everything we do including making money is all for the same purpose, that is happiness. But i have to say, there is always an exception for anything. For example,i know some people who are really rich, they made a lot of money, but they are always worried,i don't know why,but they really are. Thanks for sharing, cat, have a nice day. :)

Right know I am in a financial crisis state. My fridge is empty. I have to ask friends for money, that I don't know If I can pay back. I am totally not happy!!! If someone where to give me a million dollars, I would be the happiest person on earth!!! I could go to the health community and get the right exercises for my back. I could get therapy and my back won't hurt me as much every day. My health would improve. Believe me, without money, no one is happy! I can't pay my bills, can't go outside without being ashamed. I don't even now if I will still have my computer next month. Cannot pay for medical issues, they are too expensive. Be realistic, without money, we are nothing. I am not saying we have to be rich to be happy. If my kitchen is filled with food. I have enough toilet paper. I can pay all my bills on time. I would be the happiest person on earth. Until then I cannot be happy without money.

Thank-you both very much. And yes, if I can live comfortable, bills paid and food in the fridge. I will be the happiest person on this earth. I will stay that way. I am 43 years old and been through a lot. But these last two years have been hell on earth. I try to stay positive and try to be happy. But it is hard. Sometimes I can do it. But, sometimes things just seem to have no end. I try and try, but nothing seems to work. I just as well give up. I try to practice what I preach so to speak. But, real life is difficult. Telling someone else is easier. Living life yourself, the way you tell others is not as easy as I thought. hahaha! Being positive and life will be good? I wish!!! I am starting to see that life has a balance. To much positive thinking is not good either.(You lose look on reality. This could get me in jail. I would not be able to pay my bills, but who cares think positive.) To little positive thinking is also not good. There has to be a balance a reality look, so to speak. After so much bad luck, there has to be something good coming my way. hahaha! I hope. Well I still have HOPE. Take care, have a great day.

Sorry to hear that,my friend. Actually,i think what you said is very reasonable, money is indeed very important in our lives.we can't live without money.Like you said, without money,we can't do many things, and we will be very unhappy. And like i said, health is also the most important thing in our lives. What i really mean was that,if i have alrealy possessed some money that is enough to support my family, then i would not use my happiness to change that 1 million dallars. In this case, I prefer living a happy life to a rich life, though it would make me rich. Anyway, thank you for your sincere responding,I hope your situation get better soon, wish you a really happy life.

I did't mean money it was not important, actually money is essential, but i think someone is so carzy about making money that they ingored many valuable things including health and happiness with friends and family.I think we should make a balance between them, maybe it is not easy ,but i will go for it. Thanks for your sharing ,have a nice day. :)

I am not rich at all. But I am happy. I would rather have my health, kids, family and God more then money. Most rich people are not happy. Money don't buy you love and happiness. I wouldn't want to be rich. But if I was rich I wouldn't spend money like the movie stars do or other rich people. I would give to help the sick, people who have cancer, kids to have good homes and not let kids be abused by people or there parents.

:) Thanks for your sharing. You are a very caring person. I couldn'd agree with you more.I have talked about so much about this question, and i got it that happiness is really the ultimate goal in our lives as human beings.Of course ,we have to admit, money is essential, but as long as we have enough money to support our families, then the happiness should come first.Meanwhile,if we have more money ,we could also help those people who are really in need.Helping others is a happy thing ,i think. Wish you always happy,my friend.

I am currently recovering from a partial knee replacement, we may be losing our home, my nephew is breaking up with his wife and has moved in with us and our thirty year old daughter will never leave for a life of her own because she was born with Down's Syndrome. Yet, with all this, I am happy and grateful for the beauty and wonder we have been given in our lives. More money might have saved the house, but I do not think it would necessarily make us happier.

So sorry to hear that .I really admire your attitude of life.Indeed, money is essential,it can help us when we are in need, but it can't make us happy directly. We are happy, beacause we are hopeful about our lives, beacause we are positive and optimistic, not just beacause we have a lot of money, and if we have a harmonious family and many good friends,i think we would be also very happy. Thanks for your sharing, wish you always happy. :)

But, can you be happy without food in the house? With bills waiting to be paid? Health problems? You need money for all these things. Medical issues need money, food you need to pay. Bills don't go away, you end up in jail. Wow, what a happy life without money.

Hello margajoe, Thanks for your comment on my responce. I hope you have good idea abt this, so wish you all the best and hope you will be soon in one of the top rich people. Thereafter if you need something, that will be happy. So You may need money all the time in your daily life, accept it. You may die in lack of money that's somehow true. But when you will be a successful person and you have everything according to your desire, then eventually you will be looking for HAPPY, PEACE, CALM SATISFACTION which you will found unable to buy with all the money you have earned yet. So, hope you might got me. A happy person can earn slowly and satisfy his/her life. But life without happy even with a lot of money will be worthless at all. If you do have any other comments, feel free. I am ready to listen and reply. Let me see what's your view and concept. Your every comments on this topic will make all others to identify you in ease. What's ur attitude and what you think. All the best for your nearly coming rich future, who won't suffer for anything, except happy. AB_Singh

I am presently not rich and presently not happy. If I choose between happy life and rich life I choose happy and peaceful life. There is always a problem whatever you choose. In life you should be practical, only you can make you happy, if being rich is happy for you then you choose a happy life. Its you who can decide. Some rich people are full of problems but they choose rich because that can make them happy. It will be always depend on the people how they can have their happiness.

Hey,you said it.This really depends on in which situation people are ,if some people are broke, then i think money could make them happy,if some people are lonely ,then i think good friends could make them happy,if some people have a lot of money ,but are still unhappy, then there must be something they need which can make them happy.

I agree. With no food in the house, bills to be paid. Health problems you need medical attention for, but cannot afford it. You need money to be able to live. If you can pay everything and still have enough food, that in itself is a rich life. But, I would like to be able to have a vacation some time. Take care.

I am poor happy person. Of course I choose a happy life. I think anyone originally has a simply wish.Once a rich person said " I have struggled for life for many years.I abandoned parents and regarded brothers as enemies. My wife was murdered. What is my purpose to get so much money? Whereas,I just want the moment like this occasion-having meals with family together." Money make people mad. Maybe when we got 100 million, we would change and lost ourself. But at last we all will remember our original wish. All in all,I feel happy now. Don't think too much.

A lot of people always say that money can't bring happiness but I'm not too sure about that. Coming from a background where I didn't grow up with a lot of money, a large sum of money would not only make my life easier it would probably make me a little happier. It would make me happier because I wouldn't have to worry about and stress over financial issues that I currently deal with in my life. I wouldn't have to worry about whether or not I'm going to get the right amount of financial aid to stay in school. I wouldn't have to worry about how my mom is going to find a new job or recover from her layoff. Money would quintessentially make my life lot easier and therefore make me happier. I think when people are raised in a family that has money, money is not a big deal for them. They have problems that poor people or the middle class couldn't necessarily relate to. I think that explains why we find wealthy people who are unhappy. On the contrary, many poor people or people who have to struggle to make ends meet have problems that can be fixed with money. in other words, being poor has it's own set of hardships which is often money. It's important to understand that money doesn't fix everything and shouldn't be traded for happiness. Money can fix somethings and when you come from a financially disadvantaged family it can be the difference between happiness and depression. Tell me what you guys think of this. -John

Thanks for you honest responding,my friend. Actually, that depends. For the people in serious financial problems,of course i think money would be the very important thing in they lives,as money can help them fix many problems, and then they will be happy.I understand that. But,as i know, they are aslo many really poor people who live a quite happy life. They have a little money that just can make them alive, but they always be positive and optimistic, they have a harmonious family, they have good friends that can help each other when anyone is in need, and they are always hopeful about the future,i really admire their attitude of life. So,my friend,no matter how bad the situation is,we should try our best to be optimistic and hopeful, things will be better one day.
