does the music you love reflects to your personality?

I am an Artist and one way of unleashing my Artistry is loving and producing such great music. I am also a composer and can play any instruments because i'm a fast-learner type of person. Guitar is on the Top of my instruments list because i believe i'm good in playing it, that's why my Top Genre of music that i like is Rock, Acoustic, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal or even Death Metal. We'll go into this Death Metal stuff which is also known as the Demon's song or all about Devils and Death and pain, hatred etc. I just loved the tempo, sound, style and melody. I like it not because i'm an Anti-Religion or something painful-type person, harsh and anything not good. It's just like Energetic and way powerful because i'm an energetic person, fun and always in the powerful mood. Actually, one of my compositions of Patriotic-type songs is a Death Metal style. For me, the looks and style are not important, the Meaning and effect of the Lyrics of the song is way pretty to people such as they will get inspiration from the song, empower them and feel great while hearing the inner meaning of the song. I can't say i'm a great guy but when it comes to my music, i bet you'll feel great hearing it too!!! :-)

This is indeed great, I am happy to read your post Jayson, I am a music lover, and I love metal songs and music a lot, My favorite band is Soulfly with the exquisite voice of Max Cavalera who I adore to listen, I like Babylon, Seek and Strike, Prophecy, The conspiracy album, and may more, I listen to Sepultura, fear factory, Chimaira and others but my best is Soulfy. My boyfriend plays guitar and I love to see people playing guitar because they are damn alive when they play it either soft or hard.
Being an artist itself is a boon from the Almightly which we have to respect because not everyone is gifted with such talents in life, I cannot play guitar but I paint so everyone is gifted with a talent on this earth which we have to respect.
And since you are an artist I respect your point of view about music because I am a music lover also. Keep going dear and hail to Max Cavalera.

Cool! Yeah, Max Cavalera! Great Brazilian Musician™. I can paint too! But nowadays i just used freehand skills in PC and also in Air brush. I explore myself in the Artist's World, anything under ART! Rock on for you Sis!!! Thanks a lot' =)

You are welcome dear, maybe you are amoung the few people who have appreciated my type of music because being in Law everyone looks at me strangly when I tell them the music I listen to then I don't really bother about their likes and dislikes but I just continue to listen to what I like.
My dad is the first one to hate my music, he believes its too bad, but still i continue to listen to it because i love it man!
I do abstract art and my paintings are nearly ready for my next exhibition. I just hope everythingturns okay for me. Listening to music and painting is one of the brilliant task I have tried in my life.

It is so great to hear that you are passionate about what you are doing, the way you describe it makes me feel energetic.
I like all types of music, depending on my mood. I am a Christian so I like Christian music in any genre. Most of the time I am in the mood for hard rock, metal and the likes, which is available in Christian music.
I think one can express yourself and your feelings and beliefs very good with hard, loud, energetic music.

Wow! I also like Christian Music. Actually i love all genres and can adopt at any kind of music. Do you know the song "Who Am I" by the Casting Crowns? I Love that song so much... It gives everything about you, yourself and your life. The songs i created fills so much about everything within me and the Thought i want to fill into the world. =) Thankz a lot' Godspeed...

I do believe that the music one loves actually reflects his/her personality! Probably when you closely look at your's or your friend's music listening pattern you can really find their personality. It is like associating color and personality. I love jazz and music that are kind of loud. But my choice of music changes with my mood too! So you can even change how often a person has mood swings :)

true! the different types of music that i listen reflects different part of my personality. my preference for rock music reflect the more active side of me, my enthusiasm for new things and adventures. my preference for acoustic music shows my soft side, my kinda emotional and contemplative side. :)

Yeah, i think you're great. You can play so many types of instruments and also can compose songs on your own. That's the great part of a music lover. For me, i will think that musics do have the effect of inspiring people and also helps to reduce stress or cheer up people's emotion. A well composed song which contain good lyrics and rhythm will surely make people feel comfortable, enjoy listening it and it can affect their emotions. On the other hand, if one loves the musics so much, i believe the musics he/she plays will surely reflects part, if not all, of his personality. The feelings and thinking of the composer will be indirectly inseted into the musics he play or he compose.

I think so ,in my own idea might be reflected w/my
personality.
Every person has a unique style of music they like
to hear.My muisic wants is love songs,mellow,and slow rock
the few of the disco.
I also give importance to its meaning and not with
with how long is it and how new is it.I am more to
classical music than new ones.
