Cars without papers like insurance or driving license or documentation, are impounded in our city, So I keep my papers inside it, Once my car got lost and at that time I realised the folly, One should never keep the papers inside it, Lo the police asked for the papers but I had none and on the same I even forgot my Registered number, Oh man what a mess it was, Do you keep the papers inside or outside?

Seriously, one should never keep their valuable documents like this. But it's good that now you have learnt your lesson, hope from now onwards, you will keep your documents in an organized manner. Hey, why don't you subscribe to services of any professional paper management service? Recently, i too have subscribed to the services of 'kleeto'. It provides both physical as well as online storage of all kinds of valuable papers. Further, one can also retrieve them whenever required. To know more about kleeto, you can visit - kleeto.in

I don't. I keep them in my purse which I carry with me at all times. I don't know why but I've never left anything of any value in my car and I've never left my registration in my car. I'm glad...a few years backs the cars in our complex all got broken into. They stole small things...anything. They took registrations and papers and things they had no use for and threw them into the swamp. In my car, I'd left a candle and it was gone....no big loss. I didn't cry.

We just bought the car recently second hand only, all the papers or documents about the car was inside the car so whenever theres a problem encountered we can easily show the documents of the car. Sometimes if you dont show any paper about the car will result to problem so its better to be prepare always at all times.

I always think it is a logic thing to keep the paper outside the car. Because the car insurance is about covering for accidents, stolen and etc. So when that happen, the paper surely not in a safe place. So copies of that paper should be appropriate to be kept in the car.

Yes I keep my car documents in my car,, but all are xerox copies.. I think it's not wise to bring the original ca docu inside a car.. Here in the Philippines you to bring the docu always { copies only) or you get time wasted if you got a traffic violation and caught by the authority,, or worst you will get paid, because not bring the car docu is a violation of the traffic rule here in my country..

Hi, I don't carry the driving papers around, except for my driving license, which I keep in my wallet. The original driving and insurance documents are kept at home; I have a copy of the driving insurance in the car. It's rather risky to keep original papers in the car - what if the car is stolen?

sad to know that..
you dont need to bring the original documents. you just need to have a clear photocopy and your driver's license so you wont have to worry if your car got lost or you had an accident. if you really need to show the documents, ask the concerned authorities to give you a little time to get it in your house.
at least now you know...
