My husband and I are moving to Georgia next week. We're originally from Georgia so I'm somewhat excited; however, I'm going to miss everyone that I'm leaving behind in Virginia. Have you ever moved from one place to another? How did it feel to start over?

I've moved from Scotland to Ireland and back a couple of times in my life, the last time has been sorta permanent-been here 30 Years or so now! Distance wise, that's not all that big a jump,as Ireland's about the size of ONE of the Smaller US States and it's said here You're never more than a couple of hours drive from the sea..and the Gap between Scotland and Ireland isn't that big, about 30 miles or so..My biggest move so far was going to Live and Work in Germany to study there,so I was there 3 months at a language college, and after a Christmas Break at home, went back out for another Year of work experience..Shipping the contents of your home is effort, time, and Money, with some more at the other end fitting it all in to the New place, but that's just stuff...The biggest change is the new Job,School, and friends, and any problems in keeping in touch with those you left behind..good luck with your Move and Your New Home!

In July, what will be my husband then :-) and I are going to be making a big move. I've moved in my lifetime but it has always been within 2 or 3 hours of my family. I moved to college and then again to where my fiancee was living/working. Now we are making a much bigger move. I don't know how it's going to feel. I'm actually really quite nervous about it. And about being so far from my family. We're not 100% sure where we're going yet, because he's waiting to hear back from a couple of places and we have to make the best choice together. I think it's definitely going to be tough being so far away and having to start my life over like that.

yes we have moved so many times already, i cant count them all...
im the kind of person that likes moving... i get excited just thinking about being in a new place, new house, what arrangements im gonna do. starting over is just easy for me, except for the unpacking... lol...
i get along well with new neighbors but i dont really go out of our house that much, i just mind my own business. changing schools of kids is easy too as before we move i made sure that all the papers that we need for their transfer are already done and we have copies of everything.
