Hi! I have encounter the same problem when my son was about a month or 2, according to her pedia give him a lot of water, if no aver try to put sugar to his milk; last remedy is to put infant suppository. I tried infant suppository to my son its very effective about 10 minutes he poop.

It may be caused by a milk allergy with the formula, you can try switching to a soy based formula instead and see if that works. The other thing that I've been told to do is give my son a couple of ounces of water once a day, the extra water helps move things along. Or you can add a bit more water to the formula when you're mixing it, an extra half ounce per bottle is fine. Those are the two things that my doctor said were safe to do with a baby that young.

My son had the same problem when he was smaller. His ped told us to put Karo syrup in his formula. It really works. You only put about 2 tsp in the bottle. Hope that helps.
