Did You Ditch Blockbuster to Join Netflix?

I remember when I was younger Blockbuster came up with a dumb idea to charge somebody a whole 4 days worth of a rental when they were only 1 day late on their rent. Than people started to sue for their nonsense. Their late fees ruined them. Do you just use Neflix instead like me or do just Blockbuster or Netflix and Blockbuster. Netflix is awesome and i'm more than satisfied with their rental service. I highly recommend them as you can stream movies through your pc which is free with the rentals you get in the mail.

I had Blockbuster online last year then I switched to Netflix which is great!. Blockbuster started to raise prices. I had netflix and then I moved had to cancel it but then I got netflix back again. They still had the same plans and never increase their prices. I love watching netflix on the computer and getting the dvd through the mail.I think netflix is one of the greatest online thing they have.

the additional movies you can watch online from netflix along with the dvd mailed to your home makes it more than a fair price.

Netflix isn't available in Canada. My husband is an American, and lived and worked in the USA for a while, while I lived and worked up here in Canada. I remember trying to watch "a movie for $5 right on the computer" but it would not allow me to do so because it wasn't available in my area. Nuts to that!!! I have acard for Blockbuster video, as well as the Canadian Rogers Video. Both stores are great. Also, I don't like the idea of my credit card getting billed every month for something I may or may not use.

I prefer to just buy my DVDs from amazon becuse I dont want to worry about monthly fees of any kind, my budget is stretched far enough and I cant afford to add any extra bills right now so I dont rent from neither of those, though I think that if your going to rent DVDs netflix would be my choice, but right now for me its better to just buy my DVDs so I can enjoy them forever and never have to return them.

I was a member of Blockbuster until they started sending me the wrong DVDs via mail. They would always be available, and I'd always arrange them right in my queue, but they would never send me the DVDs at the top of the list. After repeated emails and complaints on my part, I finally got fed up with it and switched to Netflix. Everything was going good at Netflix for a while. The movies arrived a full day sooner, my 3 DVD plan was a whole 5 bucks cheaper, and unlike Blockbuster's wear and tear, the Netflix DVDs were always in great condition. But then Netflix started with the Blockbuster thing and was sending me movies from the bottom of my list instead of the top. Then a few weeks after that, every DVD I wanted had "very long wait" attached to it. I eventually quit on Netflix too. I think they're a better service than Blockbuster, by and large, plus they have a few titles you can watch on your PC, but it's not worth the money to me unless I can get what I want when I want it. I would also recommend Netflix over Blockbuster. But if you're solely a new-release fanatic like I am, you may get fed up with the long wait.

NetFlix is wonderful! I felt the same thing about Blockbuster...If you picked up your moving in the evening, you had to return it by the same time the next day; If you were 30 minutes late, you were charged a late fee. Sorry, but a rental place should allow you to bring back the video the next day, anytime. When I was working it was impossible to bring it back the exact time I took it on. So I don't recommend Blockbuster to anyone. NetFlix, is your best way to go, if you are a movie watcher.

netflix is definitly better. blockbuster years back i remember charged a small late fee for being a day late when you got to keep them for 4 days. later on if you were a day or 2 late you would be charged for the full 4 days so it was like you rented 2 movies. they got really bad rap for that along with some lawsuits. i recently saw a blockbuster around my area going out of business.
