Well, this is just great! Yesterday I planned to use the swimming pool here at my condo complex and there were already 5 people using it for around 4 hours. Then when they were finished it started raining within 10 minutes of them finishing. That is how the weather goes here in South Florida.
Well, anyways today I planned to go out to the pool before my kids got home from school and before it started raining in the afternoon. I saw our Association President out there speaking with a man and they were walking around the pool. Now there is a sign out there from the County Health Department stating that the "pool is closed and not in compliance with the Florida Administrative Code and may endanger the health, safety, and welfare of persons using this facility."
Upon looking at the pool there are a bunch of leaves in it so who knows what all is in the water, etc. It just irks me that it is down and the kids are all out of school next week. I sure do hope that they fix the situation so we can all enjoy our nice pool. I sure do know that when my kids get home and see this sign they are going to be sad.
Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

I am sure with summer break fast approaching they will try to have it up to code and the kids will be splashing in no time. I so miss being able to go to the pool everyday. I love swimming and could stay in the water for hours. Maybe in my precious life I was a fish or a beaver..lol

Well, at least you can take comfort that the 5 who used it before, for so long, are probably all contaminated now.
But yeah, I agree that pool closing is frustrating. Like going to the only city pool in my town with a hot tub, getting there and learning that the hot tub is closed and probably will be for months.

It has been super hot here, from the 90s (f) to the 70s (f) and around 50f at night here in colorado. I've been wanting to swim myself, but chlorine has been irritating my skin here recently. So pools are no fun for me.
It does suck to hear that the pool closed for health reasons, and having experience living in different places, they will take their time to fix the issue unless you make enough fuss. The moment its sunny, they should be working on that pool, and you make sure of it!

Well the good thing is you know that the administrators of that pool is really taking good care of the pool's condition and they would not allow others to swim if it is not suitable to swim at. Anyway's weather is really, really weird these past few days. In my place it is supposed to be summer but our weather bureau had declared that the rainy season has begun. But during the last few days of the week we just had one very hot and humid weather that looks like summer was back again, and yesterday it poured some rain. I will see today if the weather would change again. Hopefully, it will rain to lessen the heat in my place.

Pools are very hard to maintain with the right chemical readings, etc. Add to that, a lot of pools allow babies that aren't toilet trained to swim and then you get e-coli and stuff like that.
The state requirements are so rigid, it could be something like that don't have the proper size filter or their chlorine is out of date. I do hope they fix it soon, there's not much worse than a hot and humid day with no pool!

I wish the weather up here in Chicago was nice enough to go into the pool. We just have an above ground pool, but it's big enough and deep enough for our family to float around and have fun. Unfortunately it's only been in the 60's with rain for most of this week. We just opened up the pool this past weekend and the weather has been miserable since. Really it's not until about the third week of June that we can start to look forward to it on a regular basis.
Hope they get your pool back in swimming order, otherwise it could be a long summer.

It is really frustrating with such situation. I love swimming, too. Sometimes when I get to the site, the pool is closed. I will be very sad about this. I really hope they can fix it in the night. Then I can swim in the daytime. Anyway, we can find other ways to relax. So maybe you you try to travel nearby during this period.
