Cricket Seems to be the best Business out in the lot right now!!!! The Old charm of Cricket seems to have vanished and it looks like all seem to revolve around franchises, advertisements and team management. The Latest IPL in Soth AFrica was full of betting.

Hi gamesurfer.. Welcome to Mylot!!! Thats an intriguing discussion by a new user! Since you are new, please remember to rate the responses, mark best responses. Also, read through the Mylot FaQs.It will help you to know Mylot better. And now for your question... Its an irony that the world plays for money. There was a time when sports were a part of heritage of a country. In today's world, sports need as much attention as do movies because the sportsmen have started playing for money. The cricket games for example have become 3 hour movies with extreme suspense and excitement. Nonetheless, what you get to see is interesting.People are enjoying what they see. So we can't really blame anyone for changing the way we enjoyed cricket . In case of Baseball too, US has many leagues and they play against each other. Even that is full of such excitement.Such leagues promote the game . Though money is the driving factor here, its also a factor that attracts the player and the audience as well. Add to it the glamour quotient and you get the perfect treat for the audience. The stadiums go full. The TV TRPS are 100%. Everyone gains! So all we can do is enjoy along! AS long as people have money to lure talent,it only does good for both!

Hi ilawise, Yeah Defnitely Agreed that people like to see something even when players are playing for money. What the real point is the players instead of playing for the country have started playing for more money and fame!!! so if more money is offered there maybe times when players start playing below par for the sake of money!!! This is what leads to betting and more match fixing!!! which is the worst stuff!! but still people will keep on enjoying the game as all this happens on the back stage!!!
