Are women going too far in the way they dress?

I guess because I have 2 young daughters that I have become more concerned with what women are wearing. I think that it's rediculous the amount of skin that is revealed, and it can lead to infidelity in both thought and in deed. Am I getting too prudish?

Hi, i also have 2 young daughters and I think a lot of women are comfortable wearing something that shows off their skin. For me tank tops and shorts are ok during hot summer days. What I don't like is seeing too short of a dress...showing too much legs...or showing too much cleavage. It could just be about themselves when they wear something like that. It means that they are very confident about their body, how they look..so it builds their self-esteem. Nothing so wrong about that...however i also think that 70% of the reason why they reveal a lot of skin is for the eyes of the boys around. I was shocked when I saw my husband's 2 teenage daughters wearing such a short, super tight dress, backless and cleavage showing when they attended their homecoming dance last year. My own 15 yr old daughter wasn't even comfortable seeing such dress. My husband couldn't do anything but believe me those 2 very good daughters of his look like girls working in a gentlemen's club. I'm not even sarcastic...i'm just being honest. They are good girls but they wore something like this:

Now as a mom..i love wearing tank tops but I've stopped wearing short shorts after I hit 40. I just don't want to look like my own daughter who's almost as tall as me and I don't want to look so sexy while my husband looks like a pregnant man with his big tummy. There's a certain age when women should stop wearing sexy clothes...just my opinion.

I think its not just "women" its the styles that get put out. Last summer everything summery had a low scooped front that if you didnt want your bra showing you had to get a tank top to wear under the top. This year is much the same except everything i see seems to be a v-neck that really low.
I like shirts that cover me people dont need to see everything i have! It hard to find clothing that is modest alot of the time. I'm almost tempted to dig out some older patterns for sewing and make some of my own tops with higher neck lines. I HATE tight belly shirts too!

No you are not getting prudish Buckeye. It's a fact that women are dresses oddly these days they take pride showing their skin, their figure and their cuts. And you are right about that it leads to infidelity. Try explaining things to them and make them understand why that is wrong. Though I am not sure they would listen to you but at least you can give it a try.
Regards.
