Hi! I have an 8 month old cockapoo (cockerspaniel and poodle mix) that is just overly excited. She pretty much bounces off the walls. I can't even let my nephews get near her because she jumps on them and knocks them over. She actually hurt my nephew once because she was so excited. She sometimes bites people by accident in her excitement. This isn't good since lots of kids(ages 3 to 12) are at my house frequently throughout the week so my dog has to stay locked up in her room most of the day so she doesn't hurt the kids. She also pees when she gets excited. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to calm my dog down or know of any products that calm pets?

I have two dogs, and the pomeraian is overly excited most of the time. It is hard to calm he down at times, but I just seem to try the techniques that the dog whispeer uses to calm down dogs. It does work for a bit, but then she starts to get excited all over again. I am not an authority, believe me, and I have enough problems with my dogs, but I will just have to keep working on them. Most of the time, they are very calm, but then there is that short spurt where they both go nuts, especially the pom. Yhr only thing I would suggest is to maybe watch the dog whisperer as he has plenty of things that he does to calm dogs. I hope this has helped, Have a very good day, and happy mylotting.
