Rev.Dr.Kong Hee

oh wow i am from singapore and cant blv i can still be haunted by this name even on mylot. kong hee is really something though i find his delivery of speeches good and is influential. however, i find the people going to his congregation, or at least those i came into contact with, a great bunch of irritating people who keeps bombarding people with telephone calls to join the cell meetings and cell outings and cell this cell that. i attended one congregation at the church when it was sill at dover once and i stated very clearly i am a buddhist but am interested in seeing how achurch is like and experiencing a prayer session. but all i got is all the friendly smiles and gestures and a phone call from the cell leader in the night acting like she knew me for years already and is my best friend and trying to ask me to join them again. i find it friendly then until she asks me what is my religion again and told me i shd become a christian and i dont remember what she said exactly but she denounced buddhism. i am not a staunch buddhist in fact but is just irked by how she think her church is superior. and my experiences with churches of singapore is just not as good either. churchgoers here talks bad about other churches and more often than not, you can hear cell group leaders saying 'i go into the auditorium first to "chop" seats in cae other people take them first'..........
