i'm 25 yet i enjoy watching cartoon movies and tv shows. i even watch spongebob coz i love patrick the starfish. but my father will always say that i'm not a child to watch cartoons. "it's inappropriate" he would say. but i'm not bothered and i still watch it.. i think he's just a "kill joy" person. it's more enjoying watching cartoons than soap operas anyway.

Well my ex is now 28 as of yesterday, and he watches cartoons all the time. He especially loves the japanese anime cartoons, and has even gotten me into them. I already actually liked cartoons, that was one thing we had in common, but not those particular cartoons. And not to say they are boring, but when I am having trouble sleeping I watch cartoons and usually go to sleep easily. I think it is mostly because they are soothing, take you back to days of being a kid, memories like that, that being at home feeling, makes it easier to rest when you feel peaceful like that. I don't think it's childish, watch on!

absolutely right!!!
cartoons are not just for kids only..
taking spongebob for example, its a product of a bunch of highly creative people, and we should appreciate creative thinking and the creative culture.
Applause for their hardwork and enthusiasm!! : )
But their are still some cartoons that sucks..just like there are movies which is not worth watching...
Support good cartoons : )

Cartoons are not just for kids I still enjoy cartoons very much partly becuse I'm an artist, and partly becuse there just plain fun, I think some people have the wrong idea of what it means to be an adult just becuse a person is no longer a child dosent mean that they have to forget how to have fun, a person can still be responsible and mature, and still have fun, and be young at heart, cartoons are usually made for children but I think that animators also make them for adults too, and in my opinion its silly to think that cartoons are just for kids becuse the people who make cartoons are adults, and in order to be able to create something that a child can enjoy you have to be able to keep an open mind and tap in to the child inside your heart and soul.

I think people over hype kids shows and kid things, just because kids do it doesn't make an activity for kids only. I enjoy watching cartoons from old days like DBZ and Bugs Bunny, but my family shuns me for it. Heck if you like it and it makes you happy keep on doing it, that's my saying cause if you don't you'll be sad and bored. So keep on watching your cartoons and stay happy mate!

Seriously, cartoons is for everyone. Nobody can tell what to watch & what not to. Maybe it would be better if I'd say I SURVIVED BOREDOME THIS SUMMER BECAUSE OF CARTOONS. . . yeah!

I don't think cartoons are for kids only. I am 16 still I watch cartoons and so does all my friends.
That doesn't mean we are immature or something, it's just that the cartoons are too good to stop watching.

I love cartoons as well and I am 32. I find them very funny and a good way to release stress and just be a kid again.
I have seen big men including an uncle in-law and a family friend who behave like children the way they laugh and carry on when they are watching cartoons. Its good to behave as a child several times per week as far as I am concerned. It keeps the face younger and the heart happier and stronger.
Being an adult ain't as much fun as we thought it would be I guess

I agree to you cainam! It is really more enjoying to watch cartoon rather than cheesy soap operas. I am 19 years old and I really enjoy watching cartoons. It makes me relax more watching cartoons than watching "real" people. For me, cartoons are much more hard to do than "real" things because a single reaction in the face of the cartoon is not easily done by the animators unlike the real people. Yeah cainam, your father is just a "kill joy". haha!

Why would cartoons be for kids only? It's for entertainment and it does it charm for some people even past "teen" years.
I personally love Spongebob, like a lot of people. Also, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Who cares if it is inappropriate or not. I don't watch tv often at all but I do like a good movie on occassion. When I have the grand kids over, I really think I get into some of their cartoon movies as much as they do....maybe more. Oh and spongebob is amazing!

My husband loves spongebob. He loves it when his granddaughter has spongebob on tv because he will stop what he is doing and watch it with her. So, I do not think you are ever too old to watch cartoons.

I watch cartoons with my daughter every day. Some of them are enjoyable and some aren't. We watch dora spongebob drake and josh and I carly almost daily. I do have to say that they play the same episodes wayyy too much, but I still enjoy them with her. I probably wouldn't watch them by myself though. We also get all the disney movies and watch them together.

Nowadays, a lot of the content on cartoon movies/tv-shows are not intended for child viewing. For example, cartoon shows like Family Guy and Simpsons those smirky remarks are intended for a more mature audiences. I am 24 years old, and I still watch cartoons! I feel that there is an inner child within everyone.. you can never be too old to watch cartoons.
