shywhat public thing do you dread doing?

i hate going to lets say a conference, alone, where i don;t know anyone there. i'm thinking oh god, with who shall i talk during break? who wants to talk to me? what should i talk about? but after that, after the second day than i survive it :) but i still don't like going without someone (as a safety net). so what public thing don't you like doing?

something like go out for a dinner with my parent and their workmates or associates .feel so uneasy and there's no peers only elders ,for me also strangers. i dont like at all

Oh I totally understand about workmates or associates. It is very uncomfortable for me.

I don't have an issue with going by myself to conferences, I however do not like public confrotations. At times i am called into action to publicly refute someone just to make a point - it's not a highlight of the job!

I usually look for someone who appears shy like me. They are usually glad that someone took the iniative to approach them. I personally don't like to go to the grocery store alone. It is silly of me, and of course I do go alone sometimes. But I stll don't like it.
