Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji,
This is summer in our country, best cheap and easy as below:-

Rustic Indian Summertime Salad - Courtesy food.sify.com
Sandy summertime banks of rivers in India, harvest wonderful mushy fruits that let
you delight in rustic summertime salads. Summers find most rivers drying up into
rivulets, creating huge expanses of dry river embankments readily used by countryside-
folk to sow in water-melons, mash-melons, cucumbers and tomatoes.
If you happen to be in the vicinity of rural India in the summers you might not escape
the bountiful boatloads of melons, cucumbers and tomatoes that languidly move down the
flowing strips of water, that the rivers are reduced to in summers. But the sandy
beaches are another story. They turn into green fields full of the creeper plants,
trailing with mellow fruits.
It sure is fun to find a nice shady spot under a laden mango tree, weighing heavy with
raw green mangoes, redolent with the fragrant aromas. You might find a rope woven cot
to sit down and enjoy the cool fresh fruit that provides instant gratification. Well-
washed in the river waters and cut in rustic styles, the fruits might be served in the
hollow scoops of the melon shells or in leaf bowls!Juicy kharboojas (mash-melons), dripping tarboojas (water-melons) along with gently
salted kakdis (cucumbers) and tamatars (tomatoes) make you enjoy the play of colors of
your rustic salad as well. Peach, red and green fruit cubes that you can just go on
eating. Just ten more days for this bounty that vanishes with the first drops of the
approaching monsoons. You wait for the season again to enjoy rustic Indian summer salads.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Hi There,
The only salad I know how to prepare is Fruit Salad & Macaroni Salad. I think everyone knows this, but I just want to share this recipes:
Fruit Salad:
One Big can of Fruit Cocktail
Two big cans of Condensed Milk
Three to Four packs or cans of Creams
You can also add some, pineapple crush, pineapple tidbits and some more ingredients that you like. Just mix them well and put it in the fridge and serve.
Macaroni Salad:
One pack of Macaroni salad
Two big cans of Condensed Milk
Two or Three packs or cans of cream
One can of Pineapple tidbits and pineapple crush
Then mix all ingredients in a container. Make sure the macaroni is not overcooked. Put it in a fridge and serve.
Hope you try it and enjoy eating...;o)

These sound delicious for picnics and summer family reunions. I imagine the condensed milk and cream make them extra good! Thank you, and yes, I will try them. : ) I love the versatility of macaroni salad, and have always put veggies in mine, so it will be fun to try it with the fruit instead!
Another thing I have tried is cole slaw with pineapple tidbits and baby marshmallows in it. I got the recipe from a friend and my family loves it.

This sounds yummy! And yes, the colors would make it pretty, too. Have you ever mixed raisins with the vegetables? I've eaten those from salad buffets before. They were good! Thank you for the recipe.

I would use your recipe as a desert.
I like salads with raw greens (lettuce, spinach, endive, chicoree, etc). A very nine one is to mix any of those (or all of them) with celery and avocado. I make a drsssing with salt, pepper, olive oil, lemon juice.
