I think that it's very important to be compatible before you marry. But I don't think it's a good idea to change the way you are to suit your husband. I think honesty is the best policy, and I think that you should be yourself.

A wife is said to be the partner of a husband forever as long as they both live. It's hard to be a perfect wife or husband but you can be as good or better as you can if only you wanted. As the saying goes: if you want there are many ways to do or achieve it, if you don't want it there are also many reason to justify it. Therefore you can do what you want if you really wanted to do it. To have a successful relationship especially with husband and wife the following traits nevertheless be acquired by both partner: honest, respectful, loyal, loving, sensitive, and God-fearing. Being honest to your partner means, you have no secrets, you always say what you feel and what you think about everything even though it hurts for sometimes. As the saying goes: honesty is the best policy. With regards to respect, if you have it, you will always consider your partner in every decisions you have to make, wither it is major or not. Being loyal means you have only one woman as your wife or man as your husband forever. Love your wife or husband if not more than yourself at least like yourself. Do not do things that you don't want to be done to you by your husband or wife. Or should i say: follow the golden rule. Do unto others what you want that they should do unto you. When you are a sensitive partner, even though you're partner is not talking of what he or she wanted, you know what it is, and you do something for him or her to make your partner happy. God-fearing is the most important trait that every person should have not only partners. If you have it, you will always do what is right and just. I think these are the secrets I and my husband have, that is why for 14 years of being together we live harmoniously as couple.
