on my right eye, so that should put me a lot closer to being able to Read again. It is quite annoying trying to read something with small print, and not being able to read it. I think so many of us take Reading for granted, and I know would be upset like I am for not being able to do so.
I will be getting my left eye probably done soon as well since I have a cataract in that one, and that eye has always been my worst anyway, but it will be interesting to see just how much better I will be seeing as well.
So have you ever had Cataract surgery, or eye issues that made it hard to read for a bit? Are you better off now? I am a little nervous, and if you want to remember me in Prayer for Monday, that is appreciated, but at the same time I know this will be for the Best as well.

Good luck to you. My dad had it done last year. He was scared and was really worried. He was so glad he did it. He said it was not bad at all. It itched a little but that was all. He has worn glasses since I was born, I am now 41, and he does not need them now.

nope I have never had cataract surgery though the optician though that I might be getting glaucoma and to go and get it checked out but I never got around to it yet. I just have had so many things that I had to have checked and it is hard running around for doctor to doctor.

Dear Tina,
My father-in-law had his cataract operations done on both of his eyes, first on his left and then after 3 months, on his right eye. He was operated and fitted with IOL (Inter Ocular Lense). Of course, due to bad luck, he had got his left eye injured (after operation). But he can read even small letters now, of course, with Eye-Specialist's power-glass (Min.required for reading) prescription. On the whole, the operation on each eye took only 20 mts. and a day for not exposing his eyes to the sun-rays. He is perfectly alright now. Do not worry! You can go operation.

Hi Tina, my younger brother had encountered such reading problem as well earlier. After having the laser cataract surgery two years back he could read without any difficult now. I was told that he could read more clearly than before. It’s more convenient as well he could read without having glasses.
As far as I know after having the cataract surgery the patient can go home after a couple of hours resting in the hospital. Don’t be nervous Tina! Here are lots of friends to support you by wishing you all the best and saying prayer at the same time. Yeah, I believe everything will become beautiful and best after the surgery in Monday
God bless you!

Hi.
I wish you come really good after all that.
I have never been through an Eye surgery, but I have undergone the knife once and can understand the nervousness you are feeling.
Be calm and everything will be fine, we are praying for it.

Good luck on your surgery. It will be a relief for you once it is over and you can see better again.
My mother just had cataract surgery last year. She said it was a breeze~ so nothing to worry about.
You are so right about taking reading or seeing for granted. I am getting to the age where I now need glasses to see. It is a pain! I never realized how lucky I had it when I could see without them.

I hope all goes well for you with your surgery, I know a lot of people who have had it and it was not a problem for them. I think we do take our eyes for granted, I know I do. My dad had laser surgery or something on his eyes and his eyes are a lot better now.

Good luck and best wishes to you on your surgery Monday, Tina! I'm sure all will go well and you'll be reading tiny print in no time!
My sister had this surgery on both of her eyes. She had muscular dystrophy and the type she had caused her cataracts. She was SO excited when she realized she could read again! I know you'll be just as happy.
So, try not to be too nervous or anxious about the surgery. It's so common these days and most surgeons, unless they're straight out of medical school, have performed dozens or even hundreds of these surgeries. I know it's hard to remain calm before any surgery, no matter how small or non-invasive, but I know you'll do just fine.
Be sure to let us know how you're doing as soon as you can, okay? I'll be thinking of you and sending as many good wishes, thoughts and positive energy your way as I can.
