In my city there's a law for gay rights on the table that contains some legislation concerning "gender idenity" and cross-dressing. The bottom line is this. This law being passed would mean that a MAN, who "FEELS" that he's a WOMAN, can USE public women's bathrooms and locker rooms!! WHAT!!!!! I can say that I'm a horse that doesn't make me one and I'm horrified at a culture that would try to pass a law such as this.

Me, personally, do not approve of this. Cross dressers aren't females, are they?
They do not have the physical attributes and whatever it takes to be women. So a big NO for me.

I think it's more of a question of how we define what a man is and what a women is. Usually to get thier gender identity legally changed they actually have to go through the surgeries. Therefore, they become a man or woman. The onl reason I know this is because I had to deal with changing thier drivers license gender when I worked for the ohio DMV. In order to legally change thier gender they have to have the surgeries and maintain hormone therapy. Then, it can be changed on thier birth certicates, then they have all the rights of thier new gender. Whether I think it's right or wrong doesn't matter, but they honestly have t go through a lot of work and money to obtain this.
