I was going to say my oven, new in 1988, was the oldest appliance in our home. But then the previous respondant mentioned the alarm clock and I realized that my clock radio was new (a graduation gift) in 1979. 30 years and we still use it. Oh and my sewing machine was new in 1977, but it is not used everyday.

Probably the oldest thing I have right now would be my keyboard. I've had it for about 10 years now. It's not anything fancy, but I use it a lot! Either that or my alarm clock! I can't even remember when I got it!! yep, that's probably the oldest electronic device I own!

I was amazed on your keyboard you said. 10 years huh? That's very durable in spite of using it most of the time...would you mine telling me the brand?

First, bu keyboard, I do mean a musical instrument. I am not sure you realized that by the way I said it! It is a Roland and it has been used a lot!! It has also been moved a lot as I use it different places.

The oldest thing that I have in my house that I am still using, is my antique Victrola (phonograph) record player from 1920. I still have a big stack of 78 RPM records to play on it, and I have a place in New York State where I can order replacement needles, so I can keep it going. It's wonderful, because it doesn't run on electricity. It was great in 2003, when we had that big blackout all over North America, and no electricity for a couple of days.

We've got a blow-dryer in our house that's getting to be almost 21 years old! We used to have two of them, but one of them stopped working after 16 years. I'd say that they were very good value for money, because they have lasted this long!

Hmm...most of the things in my house are new. We don't have any antiques around. :) The oldest thing around here, I think, is a huge iron vessel in which we steam dumplings.
Cheers and happy Mylotting
