Broken Sleep

Here lately, I have been having broken sleep from 6am to about 11am before I get up. I go to bed at around 12am to about 2am. A lot of the sleep I get, I feel is not the required TYPE of sleep that I need, as I do not feel as refreshed as I normally do when I wake up.
It's pretty weird, though I have had issues with sleeping before, but never like this. I'll wake up for a few seconds, look around, and then fall asleep. And it's pretty scary seeing blankets across the windows the way they look with the light hitting them.
What do you think might be causing this?

I guess you have to consult your doctor about it. They might give you some medications to relieve you of that sleeping habit you have. From what I know we have to sleep by about 6-8 hours of sleep everyday. That is what is needed by our body to fully recover from our daily activity.
