Dieting (Starving yourself)? Is it really helpful?

I am one ofe those people that has not given much of a sexy body so thats why i need do something about my weight and a victim of dieting or starving my self just to get the weight ive wanted, but in return i just start craving my self and getting fatter., so is Dieting really helpful?

If one is trying to lose weight, one should not starve himself. Our bodies need food & calories to burn in order to lose weight efficiently. If you starve yourself, your body will keep more fat since it is not getting enough "fuel" from one's food intake. It's really not good to starve oneself.

u dont have to starve yourself for loosing weight.i lost nearly 20 pounds without starving but controlling what i eat.it is not like omitting foods you love altogether.but eating them moderately.try doing that.yes it is possible.u know it takes atleast 20 days for any person to develop a good habit.so start eating small portions of what u eat.try to eat very less sweets and sugar.start a small routine exercise with that.walking is also great.start slow.you will see results.

dieting does not mean starving yourself. it has a procedure that you need to follow. some people maintain there weight but does not starve themselves. eat fruits most of the time than those greasy and oily meals. stay away from colas and cakes and ice cream as well. if you wont starve yourself then you will not crave. my wife is on after six diet, but during sundays she pigs out.

I heard and I'm not sure if this is entirely true that If you starve yourself, Your body goes Into famine mode. Which mean your body starts putting on more weight to keep you going. But personally I don't think its a good idea. You should cut down but not entirely.
