why the sharing of knowledge is so necessary in our life ?

usually we share a lot of things as box pencils and pens etcs but coming to the point of knowledge we tend to not to do so.why ? why are we if t all very not happy about sharing our knowledge.it's a must according to me for getting knowledge.what do you guys think about this issue ?

I am always interested in learning new things. I like to also spread what I know too for those who truly want to listen and learn.
