I have a dry skin. I am using an astringent to remove my make up. Can anyone tell me if the over the counter make up remover is better than the astringent I am using? or it it better to use oil to remove make up? please share.

I remove my makeup with just soap and water, not bar soap but soap made especially for the face.

I guess I have to save a little money to try this product. Anyway, this will be my last option just in case other products won't work well with me.

I have always used Ponds cold cream to remove my makeup. It doesn't make a mess out of my skin either. It softly removes the makeup and smell great to and doesn't dry your skin out either. I know of a lot of people that use that better then any thing else.

If you have dry skin, you should not use astringent cleanser. Either use a wash off cleanser for dry or sensitive skin. (I use Clarins, but there are cheaper alternatives)Or you could use cleansing and moisturising wipes for dry or sensitive skin. There are plenty on the market, but I find Johnson's Baby Wipes do an excellent job.

Thanks for sharing. That is true, I notice that my skin becomes more drier and brittle as time goes by. You are also correct that clarins are little expensive. I will try to look for other alternative. I also notice that some members of mylot have other ideas on this topic. I'll try baby wipes. Thanks

i only use dove cream bar. it is so gentle that it will not cause any kind of skin irritations. i have an acne-prone skin and i get pimples every time i use any kind of cleanser or make up remover. dove works best for me.

Almay and physician's formula both have good lines for sensitive skin. Plus it's probably cheaper and less Vitimin e will help your skin heal and look better also.
