Recent attacks on indian origin students in Australia once again shows that racism is one of the major issue for our ppl going aboard.

australia can be now compared with countries like pakistan, afghanistan, iraq, palestine, somalia etc. a friend of mine sometime back decided against going to australia as he felt that country has a inferiority complex against Indians. that was visible during the cricket match between India and australia.
i feel Indian should stop going to australia for education. the same quality education is available in some local institutions.

It indeed is, but i feel you cant blame the entire Australians for this.....there are some people like the above person just said that like to do such things and harass people.......i really don't understand what is bothering them......i feel they might be afraid that these people are eating up their jobs which once upon a time was all theirs......so some frustrations are justified and some are not....but assaults of such kind should be highly condemned and strict action should be taken against the culprits........

Even as an international student here in Australia, I can assure you that racism is virtually non-existent but for the downright minority who still have such archaic dispositions toward foreigners. Those few who do such things build up a bad name for a very good people, like in Australia. They should do whatever it takes to curtail such assaults.
