Hi, just wondering if anyone ever tried linking their paypal account to their BDO debit card? Or does everyone use Unionbank EON Card? I was just wondering since its a lot easier to get a BDO debit card, you can actually get one on the very day that you applied for one versus the 3 weeks (i think) that you have to wait to get an EON card... can anyone help me with this please? thanks!

I have a BDO debit card and though I haven't transferred money from paypal to my bank account yet, I was able to verify my paypal account through my BDO bank account. I had the same problem a while back and I searched through the internet. I found one blogger saying that she was able to transfer her money from paypal to her BDO bank account. BDO just charged her Php200.00 for the transfer fee. I'm still accumulating at least Php7,000.00 in my paypal account. Paypal charges a fee for transferring anything lower than that.

Eon doesn't charge you anything when you transfer your PayPal money to your Eon account. The only charge that you'll pay is P50 compared to BDO which charges you P200 aside from the P50 from PayPal.

3 weeks? I don't think so. That's too long a wait. It only take 5 to 7 days before you can get your Eon Card. I have an Eon and I only wait for 5 days after I applied.

You only have to pay P350. There's no maintaining balance. It's not a passbook account. It's more like an ATM account.

hi, just would like to ask on the amount required in opening for that Eon card. Is that a passbook or an atm account?

I have a Unionbank Debit Card, but I don't know if its an EON Card or not. I lost my previous ATM Card, and they replaced it with a new Debit Card, for a fee of course. I haven't tried BDO's services yet, but I'm currently satisfied with my Debit Card with Unionbank.

I don't have any of the two yet so I am trying to decide what to get. But I find BDO more accessible because they are open weekends and also close late during the weekends. A lot more people have experience with the EON Card though...
