If you are interested in looking at what technology is doing for you and if perhaps you feel that you are in a safer place than the rest of the world. Take a look at what Google earth can do for you. We found our ranch with very little difficulty
and had a detailed enough aerial picture to, as my son so thoughtfully said put a bomb right in the middle of our picnic table. Now isn't that food for thought?

Yes you're right, With regards to kids I guess parents should be very watchful and if possible guide them most of the time so they would not misunderstood and misuse the existence of new technology. Every inventions really has its own advantages and disadvantages we just have to be very cautious to the negative effects that it has and work out if there's something has to be changed or improve so we could enjoy the good things it can brought to us.

Food for thought, indeed! Though your son's remark made me chuckle. The serious side of this is that anonynimity is a thing of the pass, as is "privacy." Even a democratic country has no such thing as real freedom for the privacy of the individual any more.

Hi Savypat, I think this technolgy is dangerous, another big brother thing but at the same time the areas you can't access the dodgy terrorist guys know must be some from of Government facility so yes it just makes the targets easier to hit I guess. Well done your son for pointing this out. Huggles. Ellie :D

Ahem…That makes me a little nervous to say the least! I would like to think that there is no chance somebody would bomb you but the fact is that this technology is available and, as with so many other things, it can be used for evil as well as good.
As other have mentioned nothing is sacred or private anymore, almost everything about us, including our homes is accessible to anyone.
