I don't know how to do that the only filtration system that I know of is Brita and I dont know how much it costs. It is something that I think that almost anyone can buy and use. I dont think it is terribly expensive. I would look into it if I were you. It could be something that you might find interesting.

get an old (not so old, the one that you dont use anymore) clean, white, cotton cloth. use it to purify water that flows out of your faucet. then boil the water before you drink it or use it in cooking.

First filter the water, then boil it if you don't like the taste use norit to further remove impurities.

I would boil the water, that is what some people do in my area that still have water from a well. You could also buy one of those water pitchers by Brita or Pur that purifys the water. Boiling it would be the cheapest way.
