I just recently found out that I am pregnant but right before that I found out I am also anemic. Is there anyone that can give me some advice on how to deal with the extreme lack of energy? I have a 6 year old as well and she requires a lot of energy to keep up with her. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

take supplements of iron. also, consult your gynecologist. tell your husband of your difficulty with the coming baby, your anemia and taking care of your 6 year old. concentrate on yourself a little more if everything becomes overwhelming .

Hello, let me start by saying congrats on the new baby to be. I too was anemic when I was pregnant with my youngest. I was told to eat lots of liver because that has iron in it. But I don't like liver so I took Iron Pills. If you like liver it is a great way to get the iron you need to try to get rid the iron. If you prefer not to eat liver you could go to wal-mart or a vitamin place and buy a bottle of iron pills and take them as directed on the bottle so that you are not over taking the pills. Other then these two ideas I am at total lost of what you could do. Well good luck and congrats.
