Hey guys i joined mylot thinking it was a social networking site and came to know abt the money only after joining. I was quite shocked when a mylotter so blatantly lied on my discussion. His response was picturing him as a 20 year old girl facing love problems. When i tried to add him as a friend i saw that his profile said he was a 32 yr old male. His response was really good and i had thought of giving him best response but now i'm so shocked. Tell me guys what should i do or does everyone lie on mylot at some point or the other??

I can tell you that I never lie here on myLot. I don't see the point in doing that. I just come on here and discuss things that are of interest to me or ask questions I would like to have a sounding out on. I would just not add that user as a friend and I would just try to avoid him/her. Who knows why people do that kind of thing. I wouldn't really worry about it though...
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Hi, i never lie, maybe just i hide few things, and i have strong reasons to make this. But i really like to let people to know what i think and how i saw things as i make in real too.
About picture, i prefear don t show my picture, but i never put somebody pictures too.
I want let people know me here for how i think, not for how i look like.

i guess you can ask her about it right? if its right or not. well we have the right to lie here or not tell about our selves entirely. but me i rather tell the truth than not! but its much more fine if you ask her first before jumping to such conclusions. well she is your friend and its a free site to talk about anything under the sun. so ask her maybe thats an experience of her when she was just at the age 20. thanks my friend and have a nice day ahead! ...jhelai

Of course we do, it's a virtual world and we can be anything or anybody we want. I use another persona when answering a discussion that I may not have any interest in except as the person I make up. Don't get upset or take things to seriously here, it's all in fun.

But don't you think it defeats the entire point of a discussion if you answer it like someone else??

That's actually kind of funny. I wouldn't lie like that but if I did it would be for a joke.

what you lie to your partner? In what way you lie to your partner? Do you think it is right to lie ? I think your partner must also be lying to you and thinking in the same way as you do.

I have never lied on here. The problem I have is that when I respond to some discussions, I have to make sure the person I am talking to knows that the picture I use is one of my daughter and my husband. I am a 30-yr-old woman, not the guy holding the baby. I put that picture up there because I am very proud of my family. Maybe this guy did something similar. Maybe he did not mean to lie. Anyway, regardless of who responds, I think a good response is a good response.

No, I've never lied on Mylot. I see no reason at all to pretend to be other than who and what I am. Lying is a destructive habit that hurts not only self, but others.
A good question!

I don't lie but I noticed the other day someone was saying he was to old and wanted to die. Asking us what was the best way to die. When I checked his profile he was only 27. Why do people have to lie. I will never understand that. What is the purpose.

I have not lie in mylot so far as I am quite new to this site and I don't see the point of lieing as the people here in mylot don't know the real me.

A liar is a liar is a liar, whether on the internet or out in the real world. The fact that that reply was so convincing proves that he is an accomplished liar. Maybe he is just a harmless fantasist, or maybe he is trying to ruck up a lot of 20 year old female friends, with the idea of either meeting them or finding out intimate deatails about them.
If I respond to a question aimed at men, I say something like, 'As a woman, I have no direct experience of this situation, but here is my opinion ..' You should report him, as I don't think the Mylot admin would take too kindly to someone misrepresenting themselves in discussions.

Lying on mylot? Never thing about that. And what on earth you want to lied anywhere? If you don't know or don't have a good story/reason to comment on certain topic, you better don't comment. Please don't do it just for the sake of few cents you earn on your lying comment.

Although I'm not very active, I have been a member of myLot since November 2006. In 2 1/2 years I have never lied in any of the discussions I've taken part. I don't foresee a need to, either. Why lie? Why not just skip the question altogether if you can't answer it truthfully?

I'm pretty new here but I will say that I don't lie, here or on any other forum or commmunity that I belong to. What would be the purpose IMO? As far as giving him the "best response", if you really thought it was, then what difference does it really make if he turned out to be a she? A good response is a good response, is it not?

well, i don't lie on mylot, i think it is a place to express our truth feelings. Maybe some one just don't want others know the resonser is female or male, as long as his/her response is from his/her truth feelings and help others, it is fine.

I've never lied on mylot. I don't know why anyone would do that - unless they're trying to get more post out there for the $$$. I know I am who I am, my opinions are what they are, everyone has their own opinions, why lie? Where does lying get you?
In your case, I wouldn't rate his the best response. I think best responses are ones that are truthful, and come from someones REAL own life.
